I am 54 years old and always wanted larger boobs. When I was a teenager and summer came around I thought, ‘next year I’ll have boobs.’ When summer of 1978 came around I realized I wasn’t going to have big boobs, but I was happy with my firm, perky boobs. I always exercised and kept them in good shape, but wished they were a little bigger. When I was 28 I considered a BA, but decided against it when a person walked up to me in the gym and commented that I was perfectly proportioned and walked away. I felt it was a sign not to get a BA. I gave it serious thought again when I was 34, but was very apprehensive about something going wrong and messing up my perky boobs, and I didn’t like the idea of having to replace them a couple of times during my lifespan. At that time I decided ‘maybe when I’m older I’ll have it done.’ Well, I’m older! It is now or never.
My family/friends/co-workers have always referred to my boobs as being small. After my BA consult I went to a department store to buy a pretty lacey bra for my ‘small boobs.’ The sales woman assisting me commented, more than once, that I was lucky I had small boobs, and I was even wearing a padded bra! I think my height makes my boobs look smaller. Thanks to other Realselfers posting full body photos, I can see how tall women need more cc to make a visual difference. My doctor suggested around 350cc to get my desired size, but I don’t think that is enough. The round implant sizers in a sports bra didn’t seem very accurate to me, especially since I’m getting anatomical not round implants. Vectra 3d images were taken and I liked 475cc FF and 535cc FF, but the staff told me Vectra isn’t always accurate, I should rely on the round implant sizers. I tried rice sizers at home, but the staff told me that rice sizers are not accurate, that I should try the round implant sizers again. What have you ladies found to be the most accurate? I don’t want to choose a size that gives me boobs like Pamela Anderson, nor do I want to choose a size that barely makes a difference.

I don't have a bulge on my décolleté, it's just funky shadowing.
