WORTH IT$8,500
I had very bad sagging arms and was always wearing long sleeves! For me anything was an improvement and the scars are just a trade off. the healing took much longer than I had expected. I havent been able to do much until now Im one month out. I have a lot of numbness and tender everywhere else probably from the lipo. I have began scar therapy. At about one week I popped a stitch near my armpit and now have a open wound thats about the size of a quarter. I also have a dimple where a nerve grabbed onto a stitch and pulled it away and I have a lot of nerve pain in that spot. one arm has no scabs and the other has a few spots where there is still scabs. doc says the hole will take about a month to heal, which sucks. Swelling isnt too bad, wearing compression garments.

Congrats on your arms. Can you please post before pics and after? This helps with results.
I am sorry your ps was dismissive and a matter of fact. Most doctor's are arrogant and have no bed side manners. I can relate and i also hear it a lot of this.
But i am glad that you like your overall result,
Happy Healing.

hi AJ.. i too am a month post operaton.. Actually today is exactly 4 weeks. About 15 day after surgery, I too had a open wound right in my armpit the size of a quarter (and a very small one on my other armpit) The doctor told me it would take about 2 weeks to close. I am happy that the wound is almost completely closed. Have you heard of "Arnica"?. Well I boil in in water for about 10 minutes. I then strain it. While it's still warm I wash the open would or pour water over it. (it does not hurt what-so-ever). I then add Neosporin and cover with gauze. I do this twice a day. I cannot beleive how FAST the open wound started closing when I began to do this. I've noticed a biggest improvement in the last 3 days then i did the first 5 days.
Good luck and happy healing.

arms a re looking and feeling really good. the open spot has healed almost all the way and is just a small scab. there arent any scabs on the rest of my incision either. I was cleared to not have to where the compression garments any more. I now where the scar gel pads at night and am massaging my arms to break down the scar tissue. I will post more pics once I uploaded them to my phone!

8 weeks post op
All my scabs have closed and I couldnt be happier! My scars are very pink, but Im wearing the scar gel pads as often as possible. I am massaging my arms a lot, there is a lot of thick scar tissue on the lower half end of the scar toward the elbow. I am working on desensitizing the rest of my arms from the lipo and trying to help the numbness with massage too. I am super pleased with the left arm scars, they are going to be very thin. The right arm where I had the slower healing is good, but definitely thicker, but Im sure it will catch up. Movement is great, still a little tight on the left armpit. I am still wearing 3/4 length shirts until the scars arent as fresh. I also have a lot less tension in that dimple spot on the back of my arm where the stitch wasnt devolving. Over all at this point Im very pleased and though it was very mentally difficult Im pleased I went through with it. Such and improvement on what I had before!

Congratulations on your arm lift, they are looking great! I am so happy to read your are massaging the are regularly, I also had an arm lift, and I feel the massage was very important in keeping the scars soft, and preventing the "pulling" usually associated with brachioplasty. I am a little over a year out and am beyond thrilled with the result. Having the freedom to show your arms is priceless! Enjoy

Happy you are pleased with you results so far :) Mt right arm healed faster than my left. I have more prominent scars on right. I guess because i am right handed &do everything with my right. I totally understand how you feel.

Congratulations on your weight loss, that's a huge achievement and you've obviously worked very hard!
When did you have your surgery? I'll be needing this surgery too and splitting the stitches is one of my biggest concerns. Hopefully you'll heal quickly though.
Please do keep us updated with your progress.
