WORTH IT
I got a tattoo when I was 17 and absolutely hate it. I was so desperate to get this thing off but was afraid of pain, scarring, or dark spots. I was also afraid it wouldn't get removed. I saw tons of pictures on the Internet with people who go through tons of treatments and still have the tattoo. I didn't want to spend a lot and have the same thing happen but again I need this tattoo removed. After a TON of research I decided to go with the Cutera enlighten & am soooo happy! I had 1 treatment in January and just had my 2nd treatment. I'll keep you all updated!

Thanks to this post I found a great medical spa in Boston, the only place to have the Enlighten laser in the area. I had a consult today and begin treatments next Tuesday. I am blown away by your results and also by the facility I visited today. I expected my tattoo would take around 10-12 Rev Lite and Pico treatments at a cost over $4000. The spa today offered me 5 Enlighten sessions for $1600 total and if I need more than 5 sessions there is no charge. I am beyond relieved and I can finally smile knowing this journey "shouldn't" take as long as I expected and cost what I was so worried about not being able to afford ! Thanks again for this post :)

I am so happy for you!! Please keep me updated on your journey. My cost was around the same!

You probably wont even need 5 treatments based on your amazing results so far! Unfortunately, I cannot find anyone with the "Enlighten" laser in my area... But I have found a good shop with a very good laser that delivers great results so I will most likely be starting soon. I initially wanted to begin months ago but I'm thinking it through thoroughly because I do not hate my tat, just a few things I dislike about it.

Sorry for just updating this now I got busy yesterday and didn't have a chance to post this. This is one day after my second tattoo removal treatment. The area does not have any blisters, and it is not itchy or sore. I have been using Vaseline religiously because my Dr. said it would help with the healing process. I will post more pictures of my progress. I highly recommend this treatment to anyone that has contemplated the tattoo removal journey. I researched laser after laser for years and am very happy that I chose the Enlighten. My journey has been so easy and I am so happy with the results so far! I am happy to answer any questions as my journey continues :)

Your results are freakin awesome so far. Good job. I too am using the Enlighten and didn't realize how great it was. I had 3 treatments with a medlite that were,,,crap an felt like it barely did anything but hit me in the bank. Lol. Then tried a new doc with the Enlighten, and damn this dude wasn't kidding, all kinds of ink came out. Anyway I'm glad your here, good confidence builder for me...

Thank you!! Do you have before and afters on your page? This laser does some serious work. I am still shocked how much of my tattoo is gone

March 24, 2016
I do, and will have more to come after some healing. I'm working on more than a couple. This weekend I'm going to write up my opinions and everything I've learned from my dr about it. So far I think it's amazing and really hope more people start using it....

2 weeks after 2nd Enlighten Treatment

I have said it probably a thousand times but I couldn't be more impressed with the results of this laser. This picture is 2 weeks after my second treatment. I have been using aquaphor like crazy. I didn't have any blistering at all. I never expected that having a tattoo removed would be this easy. After years of research I can say I 100% chose the right laser. I will post more pics

Lookin good! Your lucky to not get any blistering. It's like blister city on a couple of mine. They told me to use Vaseline or aquaphor but I can't take the greasy feeling, been using aloe with lidocaine and bio oil after the initial healing. How long are you going in between treatments? They have me at 2 months.
March 26, 2016
I have been doing 2 mos in between as well! how long after treatment are you using the aloe and lidocaine?

March 27, 2016
I start the next day after a treatment. First day I keep-em rapped with Vaseline and ice. It might not be the right thing to do, no doctor has recommended it. But it helps me a lot. The greasy feeling drives me crazy. When I was doing the Medlite at a different place they sold me some expensive lotion mixed with cortisone, that sh!t made me break out.

If you try ever try anything other than what they tell you. Start with a little dab of it and hang out for a while b4 you put it all over the whole thing. And be close to water so you can get it off if it irritates you.
March 29, 2016
I will have to try that next time! I get scared trying other things but it sounds like it's been working very well for you. I will try it when I have my 3rd treatment :)

After seeing your review, I'm thinking about trying out Enlighten (been using Picosure). I have my 12th Pico treatment on April 4th and plan on keeping that appointment. Unfortunately, the closest Enlighten laser is 4 hours away and I don't know if I want to travel that far for it because that means taking time off of work and I need to save those vacation days for something else.
March 29, 2016
I traveled 5 hrs for my 2 treatments because I heard great things about the laser. Im sure more enlightens will pop up I think the laser is really new. I highly recommend it! How much are you paying for picosure treatments?
March 30, 2016
Right now I'm paying $200 for each Pico treatment, which is a good price for the size of it. I was one of the first Pico patients at the clinic I go to, so they gave me a lower rate. I've been told that they're charging more now for treatments for my tattoo size... I'm afraid I won't get that same pricing with the Enlighten treatments. Just out of curiosity, how much are you paying for the Enlighten?
March 31, 2016
I think the pricing varies. I'm paying $500/treatment but I spoke with ASG1 on real self and she's paying $1600 for 5 treatments.

My jaw dropped — wow! I have been wondering about the Enlighten Laser so I am so glad that you've decided to share your journey with us — I think it's going to be a short one. How is the pain during your treatment?
Oh good, glad the treatment was tolerable for you. ☺
Did you get any blisters?
Amazing results, so happy for you !
Hi ASG1, Doctor Mark Taylor says that the Enlighten laser is one of the top lasers around along with the PicoSure, you can read more here. It's a Picosecond + Nanosecond dual wavelength laser (1064 nm + 532 nm) which is supposed speed up the removal process. I am really excited to see how well it works, and based on this review I am impressed so far.
I am going for a consultation today as I just found the only place near Boston with the Enlighten system!
