I'm 28, 5' 5" 138lbs pre-op bra size was 34A. I pumped for a full year with my first child due to dietary issues my son had. Previous to my pregnancy I was a perky B cup and would never considered getting BA. I've never desired big breast but after having my second child there was next to nothing left but saggy skin with a small amount of fat tissue. I had orinally scheduled my BA for September 2013 but had a total freak out and cancelled 10 days before the surgery thinking I would never go back.... Well a year later I reconsidered. I started running to lose some to the lingering baby weight and my A cups hardly fit anymore :( highly depressing when trying to wear a bathing suit or dressy clothes. I've never been ashamed of my body and even with my tiny breasts I didn't really feel insecure more in-proportionate then anything really. So rebooked with doctor robinson feeling confident this is exactly what I wanted and I'm happy I did. I had my surgery today at noon at Seafield surgical centre, arrived at 10:45. The nurses were very pleasant and so was the anesthesiologist although a little rough around the egdes lol he put my IV in with no trouble at all which is usually a bit of a struggle for them, I was definitely impressed. Next thing I knew I was in recovery in a TON of pain which I wasn't expecting having read quite a few reviews on this site it doesn't seem typical to wake up in pain but more commonly tightness and pressure which I didn't feel at all. Honestly feels like being really engorged. The nurse put some morphine in my drop and gave me some oxy which made me feel loads better. After about 30 min I was able to get up and dressed with my hubby's help (so thankful for my loving man). Total surgery time was less then an hour (12:20-1:15) and then 2hrs in recovery. I'm taking emtec and ketorolac every 4hrs which is managing the pain well. Very swollen but so far they look better then I expected :) I'm sure I've missed a few things in this post but I'm still fairly drugged up lol

Holy swollen!

Currently have boobs up to my collar bone and in my armpits. Not really in pain at all just uncomfortable which is a lot better then I was expecting. Had a fairly broken up sleep but I feel rested and chipper :). Tummy is a bit bloated. Making sure to drink lots of fluid, eat healthy foods and take my meds on time. Made soup, corn bread and bran muffins in the days leading up my surgery. I hired a babysitter to stay with the kids during the day since I can't lift my 19 month old and definitely can't keep up to my 3.5yr old. It's been an unbelievably huge help since my husband had to go back to work today. Dr. Robinson called last night to check up on me and asked if I had any questions which I didn't. He gave me his cell number in case I had any issues at all. He has been very kind and supportive. I have a post-op appointment next Tuesday, he said they will remove the bandages at that point. Overall I can't complain about anything. This has gone far smoother then I ever expected. Yippee

Where is Dr Robinson located? I live in Sechelt so either Vancouver or Victoria would be my options. What did you pay for your surgery?

Day 2- I was feeling really good in the morning but by afternoon the swelling had reached its peak and I was very uncomfortable. Was feeling pretty low by the end of the day. Still happy I went through with it provided my final results are good. Absolutely terrified of something going wrong as I cannot afford a revision.
Day 3- felt a lot better then day 2 and the swelling had gone down quite a bit which was a huge relief. I did a bit of tidying and hung out on the couch. I've had a nap most afternoons since having the surgery. Really trying my best to let everything heal. I did make a mistake with my little guy, he was begging to come up on the bed (it's really tall) he had already climbed half way up so I pulled him the rest of the way. It felt like my chest was ripping apart and hurt for about an hour and half after. Been applying ice 6-8 times per day just for comfort.
Day 4- decided to stop taking the emtec (like T3 but without the caffeine) at 5:30am. Felt good until about 4pm. Even with extra strength tylenol it was still very painful. Of course I was feeling so good earlier in the day I told my husband we should go out that evening with the kids. So we went to a restaurant and a toy store to get some presents for the multitude of birthday parties coming up (my gosh someone should of warned me there would be so many. He's only 3!!!!). It was a painful evening :( not much swelling though :) came home took 2 extra strength tylenol and iced. Felt much better. Slept good. Been sleeping slightly propped up on my back or side. Been waking up at 5:30 to take the prescription anti-inflammatory and to ice. Hadn't gone #2 since the day before surgery and felt super gross and bloated despite taking stool softener, eating bran muffins and a lot of fruit smoothies :(.
Day-5 feeling loads better! Got out for a short dog walk (hubby pushed the stroller with the dogs), went out for lunch, ran some errands. Came home iced, watched a bit of white Christmas :). Tidied up a bit and did some laundry. Had a BM (sorry TMI) such a relief but I think I may have a bladder infection. Tend to be prone to them after surgery (don't ask why, I have no idea). They feel like they've dropped slightly and they're softer then I expected. I've had zero bruising! I think my surgeon did a great job. The nurse from the surgical centre called me on day 3 to check how I was and anwser some of my questions which was super helpful. I almost trust nurses more then doctors when it comes to after care.

Thank you so much for sharing your information. My biggest concern with the recovery is down time from work... :s I'm a hairstylist and use my arms sll day long, I wonder how long I will have to take off? How long was it from when you saw Dr Robinson for your consult to when you actually had your surgery? I have my consult booked for May 12th, and I'm going to see Dr kimit rai as well. ( a friend of mine used him ) she absolutely loved him. Coral at Dr robinsons office seems very efficient and to the point which I love. Can't wait!

I had already been through the consult process before in September of 2013 and had booked the surgery (which I backed out of last minute) 4 weeks from my consult appointment. This time I was able to just call in, booked my consult (October 31) and surgery (December 2nd) all at once. Coral was great! Gave me very clear instructions and when I went in to pay for the surgery I asked if I could see some more before and after photos (not realizing they were on a computer that the doctor has to log into and show me himself) . I told her if it was a problem not to worry about it, instead she squeezed me in in between appointments!! I couldn't believe it. Honestly I felt like a jerk cuz he was super busy but he didn't rush me and showed me everything I wanted to see. Anyway to anwser your questions. Surgery can be booked as little at 4-6wks depending on how busy they are and I would suggest 1.5-2wks off or slowly building up to full days after a week.
