Hi again, imo the dermatex more than likely is NOT the cause of your scars going pink. Scars go through a few phases of healing. They enter the “angry phase” (when they turn red or darken) after several weeks post op. So imo it’s more than likely you’re just entering the angry phase of your scar healing. Although I like Bio oil (as a moisturizer) there’s no scientific evidence of its efficacy for scar healing. My personal preference is tapes/sheeting over oils or gels. Just curious is the dermatex that you’re using the sheets or the gel? When removing any kind of scar tape/sheet I always use some kind of lubricant (i.e. soap water, adhesive remover wipes) so not to irritate the incisions. Good luck. :-)
