I am on Day 2 of MyEllevate with Dr. Buchanan. I did a lot of research about this procedure and he was spot on with everything I researched during my consultation.
Everyone I have had contact with in his office has been professional and personable. I appreciated the professional, non-sales feeling of the office staff and Dr Buchanan.
I was completely awake and alert during the entire procedure which I think in total took about an hour. He and his nurses talked and were upbeat during the procedure. They also talked about what was happening and what was being done which helped a lot in understanding what to expect as I experienced it.
The initial few hours after the procedure I was still numb and had no pain. I drove myself home because I had no anesthesia or anxiety medicine. By night I definitely had some uncomfortable pain and took Tylenol. He prescribed Celebrex, Gabapentin, and Arnica to help with pain as well. I haven't felt a need to fill the narcotic pain medication (it's not quite 24 hours since the procedure).
I have no idea what everything looks like under the pressure dressing and neck support. LOL This can't be removed until 48 hrs. So I will update you on that part of things later.
But as far as the consultation and procedure, Dr Buchanan and his staff were great.
