I really want to thank all you wonderful brave girls for pics and stories!! What a blessing! You helped me be strong and brave!!! Surgery scheduled for day after tomorrow and I am so excited! I can't wait to be able to put on a normal swimsuit and not hang out if it, so happy to not have everyone, men and women, look at my boobs at the pool! I wasn't terribly overweight but when I really settled into eating healthy and working out some, I lost 24 lb! It was then I seem to really start to hate my bosoms....they make me look fat and matronly....after discouraging remarks from my husband of 12 years, (he loves me however but doesn't want me to do it and is staying out of it) I still couldn't forget about it. I do feel some guilt about using retirement savings for procedure but haven't we wasted more money than that on much more frivolous things? I have never had any problem with them. My original Dr did a nice job. And sorry honey, you know me and once I get something in my head I will have to figure out a way to make it happen. Thank God for my health so far and I am taking these rubber fake things out before they cause problems for me!!!! Dr said I am healthy for surgery and I just thank God for that! I will try to keep you updated with results! I am happy and hopeful!

I had the surgery yesterday and all went well they say! I was in surgery for a little over 3 and a half hours. My husband said they told him they had a little trouble getting my bleeding stopped but overall I did fantastic! I haven't spoken with the Dr. yet. I was home by about 1:00pm and assumed my position in reclining love seat! I am supposed to call her this morning and talk with her. I took pain meds yesterday but couldn't eat anything. The nausea was the worst part for me. I can take pain. So you have to eat so that the pain meds won't make you sick. I even had a nausea pill and still got sick. And don't feel like eating anything. I forced down a few bites of pineapple and melon then a half of a cracker! But I slept well in the recliner and am getting around to restroom with out too much pain. But I won't kid you, it hurts! My coffee cup even seemed heavy this morning but sure tasted good! I will post some after pics later, I haven't even looked yet. Maybe I am a little scared to...I am very small, but that is great I think! I am ready to be small and free of those bags! Oh, yes I did see the bags. I had asked my Dr. if I could so they showed them to me. They looked perfect, white, clean and intact! I was very lucky! My husband said he thought about asking if he could keep them so he could play with them! Ha! Pictures later!

You CAN get the implants from the department of pathology. They actually are your property! I went to pick mine up about a week after surgery...they were both ruptured and totally yellow..I saw them before they went in and they were perfectly white and clear. It is now 3 months post op for me and I am wondering what I'll do with them...they come in individual plastic buckets from the hopital. I was thinking of encasing them lucite and making some kind of sculpture...or perhaps bookends!

I am doing much better but I haven't even taken the bandages off and looked yet! Well they are all taped down and I don't want to pull any stitches loose or anything. I go back in to my Dr. Tomorrow and hoping to get some of these bandages off and drains out. I'm curious but also know the longer I leave them alone and let them heal the better they are going to look! When I took my bra off it hurt, the tight support helps. So I quickly put it back on..so no pics yet!
