I had my bodyjet lipo done on my tummy and love Handles on 17 Jan 2013. I the whole procedure took about 3 hours. The worst thing about this procedure was the numbing, that whole thing took about 45 mins. Once he started it was not that painful. Although sometimes he hit places like in my upper back or right by my rib cage that was not numb.... And it hurt like hell. After wards they wrapped me up and put a compression garment on me. I was able to drive back home two hours, but I leaked a lot!!! My clothes were soaked by the time I got home. The first night I had to change my dressing three times.

The next day I changed my dressing one once, it didn't drain as bad as day one. I had to wait 36 hours to shower. I was kinda scared because of the holes in my tummy and back are still open. They burned a little as I showered. Sleeping was better that night.

Today which is day 2 post op, there was really no draining. I am sore because I decided to be lazy and stay in the bed for the last 2days. I'm swollen still but I can see I big difference. Still wearing the compression garment but the one the doctor give me is to big now, so I will wear one of my own.

23 Jan 2013. I am 6 days post op. I'm am done drainging and not as sore. I'm still wearing the compression garment 23 hours a day. In the last two days I don't feel like my tummy has gone down anymore. I can see a difference but, I guess I was hoping for more of a change.... But it is only day six. I am going in 3 days to see my doctor so I will post his remarks.

I went for my 9 day post op check up. My doctor said everything looked good. I still lots of swelling and water still in my tummy and love handles. I asked if I could take water pills to get rid of the water and he said “NO”….Just let the water come out naturally. I’m still kind of sore and not able to run yet. But I feel like I’m getting fat because I have not run in 3 weeks. I think I will try to run on the 5th of Feb to see how I feel. Still wearing the compression garment, I really don’t feel comfy without it. He said I only needed to wear it for 23 hours a day for the first 2 weeks but I think I may wear it a lot longer.

I forgot to mention he took out a total of 1500cc, but 400-500 was water and blood mix so, it was about 1000cc removed.

I like I said before, I see a big difference and if you look at my pictures I’m sure you can see I difference as well. I just thought it would be a better change by now. I have not lost weight but my clothes fit me a lot different. I use the word different vs. better because I still have breast and butt, so my dresses are too big in the tummy area now… But I look 10X better in a fitted t-shirt…..lol
