I had laser resurfacing done on upper lip - done at a local laser clinic in Mumbai. Not 100 percent happy with results but I think I'll need a few more sessions with the laser to completely get rid of all wrinkles - if that's even possible:)

That's great! I know everyone heals differently but if I went to Mumbai (I have to visit friends next year), from the day of surgery onwards, how much time do you think I should allocate to healing (stitches, swelling etc.) before meeting with friends (so that they cant tell I've had work done etc.)? I dont want to hear negative lectures about plastic surgery from friends there..haha.

Hi, I went out and about in 2 wks. Pretty much all swelling and bruising was gone and/or easily covered up. Mostly
it was the eyes/suture lines
needed cover up makeup.
with sunglasses on-I could within a day or so.I did not bruise very much though.

How did you find your surgeon?

Hi, I researched online about plastic surgeons. I looked into basically most countries I could think of. He also had very good communication skills - he's answered all my questions (I asked many, many questions from the actual procedure to childcare for my child to hotel accomendations) he wad extremity detailed and patient with me and my questions. This was important to me as it helped me get to know about his skills and personality. I asked so many questions and he answers them back fully and at times with pictures. I sent him a Picture of my ear so he could mark where exactly the dc sutures and scars would be - then he emailed me back the photos. He is a surgeon at Globel hospital as well in Mumbai. I continue to just LOVE the results of his work. He is an artist as well as a PS. Hope this is helpful? I spent a considerable time online researching PS and procedures and what can be done and how procedures should be done and he did exactly what what required to accomplish a great result. He had a you tube video also which was helpful to me.

Hi Domcal you look great. I'm starting to think India would be a good option for some of the PS I want to have. Just finished my first foray into facial fillers. Cost $3000 and the results are .. meh

Is it possible to post a full-on front picture of your face? Your profile looks beautiful. I understand if you do not want to. I have often thought a facelift would be cheaper in the long run than the endless upkeep (and risk of --as my friend says--looking like a cat!!--with fillers and botox! I am around your age. The cost of what you did is incredible --like the cost of fillers, etc! One more question: I have not been to India (although I have always wanted to go!), but do they recommend fairly reasonable places to stay? Are the facilities where you stay close to his office? sounds like you had a great experience and I agree with the other writer --many great doctors come from India!!

Hi. In an earlier reply I do post the name of the hotel we stayed at a few minutes (literally ) to the Dr.'s clinic. Inexpensive, neat, clean. I will post more current and front face pictures. I'm very satisfied with the results and the price cannot be beat. Indian hospitality is the best.
