Dr. Diaz was very friendly and approachable. As a well known plastic surgeon in our country, she answers all my questions regarding Blepharoplasty especially those on critical effects of the surgery; such as the procedure it self, the level of pain, if there will be possible complications, the healing and recovery stage, special diet or food to avoid, post surgery medications, etc., etc. Her staff as well are courteous and polite are all registered nurses. Though the overlook appearance of the clinic looks like a spa (not really looking a medical clinic) but the equipment and amenities inside the procedure room is acceptable enough for a basic and minor surgery in general. During the procedure she put me in a very convenient state, the nurse assisting her is also very friendly adding a feeling of comfort and assurance to me that everything is alright. After nearly a couple of hours for both eyes each lower eyelid have been done with the surgery. It feels tight and numb with a bit pain but tolerable to me. My wife who was in full support to me together with the kids went to a nearby McDonald's and have dinner afterwards. The stitches, I guess are not noticeable to the crew while they serve the food. We went straight to the house after eating and put some cold compress to my eyes with packs of ice in a freshly ironed handkerchief. I took my medicine and went to bed after. On the following day I woke up feeling light but still tightness and numbness to my eyes. The swelling bruises reduced a bit and feel a little comfort compared to last night. I can't wait to see my new appearance as I am counting days for my healing process. I am very thankful to Dr. Diaz for handling the procedure professionally. That's really a marvelous job of science! I love it. and oh, GOD thank you for making my dream come true! Truly the best Christmas gift that I got from LORD GOD this Christmas!

Four Days After

I feel no more pain though medications are still taken regularly especially the antibiotic. After a day of ice packing after surgery, a small bruise is visibly left. Swelling has dramatically gone and great comfort it is now.

TWO DAYS AFTER

Two days after surgery I feel and improvement of less pain and tightness and comfort while continouosly taking my medications. From time to time I cleaned my eyes with sanitary wet cotton to wipe the dried blood on the corner and some in the inside part of my eyes. I started to go to mall (it is new year, January 1) of course with sunglasses to hide my ugly appearance.

Thanks for starting a review- looks like your recovery is going well so far.  Keep us posted on your healing.  Do you have to go back to have the stitches removed or will they dissolve?

Hi there, my surgeon advised me to go back seven days after surgery for stitches removal. It is my 4th day yet today but I feel no more pain though medications are still taken regularly especially the antibiotics.
