Hi there!

Now that you’re a few months out, can you give us an update as to how things are going and if you felt the surgery was worth it?

Had lenses removed yesterday 5 dsys post op

So have my lenses removed yesterday and I had absolutely no pain with removing them and very minimal amounts of pain outside of the second day of surgery. Even that wasn't bad but I am used to wearing contacts for long periods of time. I feel almost like when you leave your contacts in all day and your eyes are really dry. I've also had the sensation to remove my contacts At night. I think the reason why I had minimal issues is because I started drinking half a gallon to a gallon as much as I could a day or week before the surgery. I also started using preservative-free moistening drops three times a day before the surgery. The day that they removed my lenses I made sure that half an hour prior to my doctor's appointment I use the artificial tears, and I kept it with me and when the doctors stepped away to wash his hands I use the drops again. I use the artificial tears at least 1/2 hour after the medications and I use those at least six up to 10 times a day. I do believe that that has helped me significantly because I know I had dry eye related to my contacts. Vision is still blurry but much improved. I drive for a living so I'm not ready to go back to work yet but I am able to function normally around the house. And thank goodness my eyes are so dry I was able to start the gel tears last night. That has made a significant difference in the dry eye discomfort.
