Update 5 days post-op:

Surgery took 6.5 hrs and I was in recovery for about 2hrs before I went home. Climbed 3 flights of stairs and directly into bed. I have ace bandages on my thighs & JP drains and a binder & JP drains on my tummy. Pain was not bad first night but.....

Pain was bad for the first 48hrs...2 pain pills every 4hrs but I'm happy to say I'm now on Tylenol only except for one pain pill at bedtime. Had to get a raised toilet seat -this is a must have for thigh lifts!! Things are much easier with it. My groin incisions which have staples (I was unaware there would be staples) and the incisions/staples under my buttocks hurt but it gets better every day. I am amazed at the lack of swelling......I have not gained an ounce from pre-surgery (now I know that the Dr removed about 4lbs of skin but I'm still shocked as when I had my BA/BL I was so swollen and bloated & gained 6lbs. I've not removed the binder to look at my tummy...want to so badly but am afraid I'll never get it back on right. I don't have the "Ken Doll" swelling in my mons area either and it looks so much better lifted.

I have my first postop appt tomorrow at 345pm. Hoping at least one set of drains comes out then! They are just a nuisance not painful or anything. Really want hurts the most is my back from being hunched over. I'm a ramrod straight sitter so this bent over stuff has put my lower back into serious pain. No problems with constipation (thank you Miralax) and I'm glad to be out of the LoriTab fog.

My Mom helped me wash my hair on Monday - felt like a new person. I cannot wait to be able to take a shower....I know that's a ways away but I can't wait. Will wash hair again tomorrow before Dr appt and am keeping lotion on the rest of me to help with dryness. After surgery my skin is always a desert.

Clothes are the biggest challenge for me right now......Nothing but gowns work with the drains. Underwear? Ha - I'll be going commando for awhile. I have had to put on and keep on sports bras though. Something about the binder & my implants very uncomfortable without some support.

I am a post gastric bypass gal. I weighed 263 and now weigh 124 (2.5 yrs later). I have extra skin on my abdomen and a lot on my thighs. I had a breast lift and augmentation in Jan this year and the tummy tuck & thigh lift were next on my list to do.

I recently broke up with my boyfriend, so my parents will be helping me thru recovery. Which is unexpected but

They are still reddish but completely flat & smooth. He did a perfect lift/augmentation for my frame, so I have natural fullness and and very proportionate. I'll be having an anchor tummy tuck & a mons lift so a bit more scarring than most but I wanted to be as flat as possible and am 45, so the scars are not that big of an issue for me. I still may rock a bikini around my parents pool eventually!

He did my BL/implants and I was very impressed with him, his staff and the excellent healing of the scars.
