Just met with my PS for my final follow up. I've noticed comments about how big my eyes are haha. I've posted some before and afters. I didn't realize how bad they looked before. Looks like a mug shot.

Dr. Grant is very personable and took the time to answer any questions or concerns I had. I decided to go with him due to his specialty on the face and eyes, experience, and his bedside manner. Also, every staff member from his center, Cascade Facial Surgery & Aesthetics, that I've encountered have been so friendly and professional as well. My upper and lower blepharoplasty journey has only begun and I look forward to documenting my progress along the way. So far so good...

Thank you so much for taking the time to update a year later! Your eye look great!! I'm considering this in the next year or two myself but I'm worried about undereye hollowing.....I would have the procedure more for tiny bags and wrinkles....it feels like such a scary decision!

You look great I'm glad I read your posts. I have bags and hollow eyes so I'm just starting to do my homework. I pray that I have the outcome as you have. My husband says I'm crazy but when I look in the mirror I see an older person on the outside, and inside I feel young. Thank you for sharing and easing my fears. Take care

Day 19

Still a little swelling under my left eye but very minimal. I stepped in the sun for this shot....and yes with a ton of sunscreen! The mole that was removed from below the left corner of my mouth seems to be fading nicely also.

How are your eyes now with your stitches out?? How exciting! Can't wait to see your progress! I know I hate it when there was an itch. It wa still numb so scratching did nothing! Ugh!

they feel tight and numb and I still look crappy...the day they came out was the worst and the left eye looked real small compared to the right...for some reason i lost that pic...i had lotsa swelling but not much bruising and I can tell I will love the final results...just not looking at myself too much at this point....

I didn't look at myself for a while much either lol. I bet it'll look great and all you have to go through will be worth it even though you probably don't look as bad as you think. It's such a big but exciting step by getting this done.

so much contradicting info out there too...but I am def following the dont spaz too soon rule!! lol....i am back home taking it easy and sorta glad i walked about in mexico but I now think i should advise people that the pain pills can fool you!!! Even my hip injury flared back up when I ran out of them!!!!! I have to take control (after my relaxation from the vacation) of the one thing I can control---what I eat!!!

Wow. Wonderful result. I'm planning on this exact procedure with transconjunctival approach too. Those sun shots really bring out the bags on me so you're looking fantastic for just 19 days. No bags! Really encourages me. Can I ask how long the surgery took and how much discomfort there was during?
August 7, 2015
Yes! My surgery started around 12:30 and I was out at about 3:30. The uppers supposedly takes only about 45 min, and the majority was the lower Bleph. He simply didn't remove but did some removal, repositioning and the pinch. I also had the mole removed so that might have been 15 min.

I literally didn't feel a thing! I did the local and IV sedation and once they hooked me up and started wheeling me into the operating room, the next thing I remember was waking up. I got up a little woosey to use the restroom and honestly I felt so good I could have driven home even though I didn't lol. Luckily I didn't encounter any real complications and the worst part was trying to sleep propped up and getting some headaches.

I have no regrets at this point and it's just weird since I have to consciously think about not having bags. Before literally couldn't make it through the day not thinking about them, they got so pronounced.

You got awesome results. I am also planning to get this procedure done. I don't have bags under the eyes and was only going to do the upper eyelids but the doctor recommended the lower as well to tighten the skin. Thanks for sharing and please keep us updated.

Day 11

biobug1
Ugh I wish this sliver of bruise or whatever it is will go away. It hasn't faded since I took my stitches out on day 7. I have another follow up on the Wednesday/29th so I'll ask the PS then since I have a feeling it'll still be there.

Looking great so far. Are you happy with what you see so far?
August 7, 2015
I'm very pleased so far. At least now when I look at someone, I doesn't feel like they're staring at my ugly bags!
July 27, 2015

Hopefully it goes away soon.  Your eye bag area looks great otherwise!
