I am generally healthy and have been my whole life, 5'8" 141lbs. I'm active, exercise daily, eat well but due to hormones and age, can't get rid of excess fat around my waist. It's not proportionate to the rest of my body so fitting into jeans/pants literally creates a spare tire popping out around the waste band that is ugly and uncomfortable. I decided to try the CoolSculpting simply for the fact that it is less invasive than lipo.

I went in with reasonable expectations understanding that it's not a "miracle" procedure (nothing is) and that any procedure that sucks your fat rolls into a vacuum-like device and freezes it will not be without pain or discomfort. That being said, I really didn't have either. It was a different sensation but again, nothing unexpected. Even when my tech massaged out the frozen spots, it was a tad strange but not painful like I had anticipated after reading reviews. The past 5 days have been fine as well. Some numbness and tingling every now and then but nothing intolerable. The way I look at it is if you want something to work and you want results, putting up with a few side effects is nothing...no pain, no gain;) I had 8 areas treated around my midsection over 2 days so wearing Spanx is helping with the strange numb/tingling sensation. Also, I’m taking Arnica tabs and using the gel to help with swelling and bruising….I swear by that stuff!!!

All in all, if I see some fat reduction in the next few months, I would say it's absolutely worth it if you have realistic expectations and understand that it is still a "procedure; it's not for weight loss and it is still going to affect your body in some way if it really does what it says. You won't walk out pain or discomfort free but hopefully satisfied that you will look and feel a little better in the next few months.

Shelly at Dr. Cappuccino's office is the CoolSculpting specialist. She is absolutely wonderful....honest about expectations and results, very thorough and very good at talking you thru each step as it is happening so there are no surprises. I highly recommend her and the entire office staff. A complimentary reflexology session is also given during your CoolSculpting session which was very nice and relaxing!
