After having had my implants for 29 years I finally just decided it was time to get them removed. I got them implanted for all the wrong reasons, psychological abuse my mother damaged me with growing up. Among things, telling me I was flat chested and had fried eggs. Anyway had my first surgery in April, capsules were not removed. For the whole summer capsules would fill back up to implant size, were aspirated 4 times, then ps decided I needed capsulectomy.
August 15 th had my second surgery, capsules removed. First surgery was a cake walk. Capsule removal was very difficult, for the first week I had intense burning. I stayed on Vicodin for the first 5 days at intervals of every 4 hours. That and ice is what got me through the first week. My ps told me capsules were as thick as cardboard and previous ps had actually implanted completely under chest muscles. He managed to remove most of the capsules however a quarter sized piece of capsule remains connected to my chest wall on one side and a fifty cent piece on the other side. He was unable to remove those pieces in fear of entering chest cavity. I am 3 weeks post op now. I have nerve pain still, wearing my compression vest or a lose sports bra is irritating as can be. Even wearing nothing is uncomfortable. I am hoping this will all resolve in time. Will keep you ladies updated on progress.

Update on healing

Well, I am sorry I have not been back sooner, but I have been adjust it to my new body. At first it was difficult but now I have accepted this is what God gave me and it is only a temporary vessel.
After 3 and a half months the nerve pain has finally subsided. Now I only have a slight pain in my right breast just on the outside of the nipple.
Thank goodness I found "Liquid Edge II" breast pads by Braza. They are my saving grace and help me feel feminine.
So ladies, just wanted to give you all an update. So here are my photos taken today.

Congratulations! I removed mine last February at age 59, and I love my water pads that I put in my bra. They make me feel very feminine, and best part is not having to buy new tops. It does take time to adjust, for sure.

Hi red0916, you have had a bit of a rough road to recovery. I think you have come though it very well. Your photos look good to me. I’m 61 and recently had my 29 year old silicone implants removed, caps as well. I am enjoying going bra less around the house. I have adopted padded bras too. There are so many available now along with padded swimsuits that weren’t around 29 years ago. All the best and I hope that remaining pain disappears very soon.
