I have been considering getting a BA for years now. Ever since I was in junior high, I remember wearing padded bras and hiding in a corner when changing so that others could not see how flat I was. In my twenties, I'd always wanted to get it done, but was always too scared. Now that I am in my mid-thirties, I don't want to waste any more of my life wondering what it could be like to actually have breasts. I am still nervous, scared and anxious but I am more focused on the "other side" now than I am on the procedure itself. Maybe that's where I need to be to get this done.
I've gone to several doctors to see where I need to be as far as size and I've heard anywhere from 250 - 300 cc. Since I don't want to do this and then think they are too small, I think I am going to go with 300 cc. What do you guys think?
The doctor I chose ended up being someone who appears to be educated on recent advances in BA surgery. For starters, my PS will be using the Keller funnel and will be prescribing Lyrica for pain management. Apparently, the Lyrica helps to reduce sensitivity to pain and thereby decreases the need for hydrocodone, etc. Also, these approaches, I am told, help to reduce recovery time and most people are back to their normal routine in under a week. This sounds great to me so I am hoping there is some truth in that. I looked up a few studies on BAs using Lyrica for pain management and there seems to be a legitimate use case for this.
I am approximately one month pre op at this point and thought I’d be more nervous than I am. I’m really looking forward to getting this done and actually being able to buy bras, lingerie and bikinis that actually fit my breasts for the first time in my life;)

As you can see, I am quite small; not even an A cup. My left breast is also much smaller than my right and my nipple is inverted due to breast feeding. My PS says that it is possible that the nipple will come out as a result of the BA. If not, he says it can be fixed in office, after the BA.

Boobs

I have never looked at so many boobs before in my life. It seems like everyone has a different result, with many of the results following the same "footprint" as what was already there. I am curious to know what the difference would be on me as far as high profile vs. moderate profile. I think my preference is for moderate profile but I am not sure that I want to do that at the expense of a smaller implant (<300cc's). I really don't want my boobs to look like two baseballs on my chest, although I have seen HPs that have a natural look.

It depends on your BWD. I'm 12cm so if I want moderate profile 300cc is exactly 12cm. If I wanted high profile I'd have to go with 375cc as that would fit my width properly.......
