6 Week Update
Little 6 Week update!
Heh I had my first face-to-face post-op appointment on the 18th May.
A week or so prior I started getting this really sharp pain where the scar is under my right boob - the pain was so bad at times that I had to take painkillers. I would even say that it was worse than the pain I had just after I had the surgery because this was actually a pain rather than feeling uncomfortable all the time. One night, I almost went to the hospital with it because it felt like one of the internal incisions had split open. Luckily though as the days went by it slowly eased and I have been pretty much back to normal since. Prof Sforza thinks that maybe I just overdone it by lifting something too heavy.
Prof Sforza told me that I have gone past the point where there can be problems with my implants and scars now so I can pretty much return to normal life - which is good news!
He examined my breasts and I mentioned the lump in my left one and the fact that the left one appeared to be noticeably bigger. The lump has become a lot less noticeable since my last post and you can only really feel it now if I lift my arm up - which is good. Prof Sforza said that it was just a swollen lymph node aggravated by the implant which he said would probably completely disappear in time. As for the size difference, he said that my left one still had quite a bit of swelling so would appear bigger at the minute, he also said that my breast pouch (the space where the impact goes) was also a bit more narrow in my left so the implant is being squeezed slightly making it appear bigger. In time, the implant will stretch the pocket levelling out the size difference.
Prof Sforza also said that I can stop wearing my compression bra 24/7 and just wear it for sports and to sleep so I’ve bought a couple of wireless bra’s. My size differs between 32DD and 32E depending on where I shop.
I’m back to normal duties at work again - finally! - and feeling good. Am really happy with my results so far but still think they’ve got some way to drop but they’ve definitely started fluffing. It’s crazy how much they’ve changed even in the last 2 weeks. I’m 6 weeks post surgery now and got my before pics from my surgeon when I saw him so have posted them too.

25 Days Post-Op
So it’s been nearly 3 weeks since my last post and tbh, there’s not been much change. I’ve gone back to work now but am just in the office - I was quite surprised at how tired I got just being out and walking around a lot more! I’m still a little bit achy sometimes but that’s still expected.
I can’t remember if I mentioned it in my last post but I neeeeeed to talk about the nipple sensitivity. Wow. My nipples are so so so SO sensitive - especially my left one. I have to tape cotton pads to them everyday so they don’t brush against anything because it’s just painful. I’m really hoping that dies down with time.
My glue dressings have fully come off now and I’m so happy with how my scars are heeling. Once my boobs drop you won’t be able to see them at all. When the glue over the scar on my right boob fully came off, I did discover that one of the internal stitches was poking out - which freaked me out a little bit!! I have been reassured that it will dissolve eventually, I just have to wait (it has softened loads, it was so wirey initially).
My right boob has dropped more than my left so my right boob definitely looks bigger at the moment but I’m hoping that’ll even out once they both drop fully. I’ve got virtually all of my feeling back in my right boob and the numbness in my left has shrunk to a smaller area - which is good.
I also have this hard area on my left boob around the side (at about 5o’clock looking at it). When I feel it, it almost feels like a bit of internal flesh is folded over - sounds weird, I know, but its the only way I can describe it! I spoke with my surgeons PA about it and she asked me to send some photos and I did (you can only slightly see that it’s not completely round if I lift my arm up). She sent the photos over to Prof Sforza who said that it’s probably just a bit of breast tissue and it should go as I heal more and my boobs get softer but that he will check it over properly when I see him for my face-to-face post-op later this month.
I do sometimes question myself as to whether I should’ve gone bigger (as I was told I could go up to 400cc) or whether I should’ve had Full instead of Demi projection but I think that’s all part of the process. I’ve got to be patient and wait for them to drop and fluff but it just feels like it’s taking forever!!
I still haven’t received my before photos from my surgeon but his PA did say that she normally receives them for patient files about 6 weeks post-op so she’ll send them over to me then. I’ve attached photos I took at 16 and 25 days post-op, as well as photos of my scars.

1 Week Post-Surgery
Feeling much more myself now but still not completely there. I’ve stopped the co-codamol as it was causing me pain in my stomach from being bunged up (maybe tmi - sorry!). All I’m taking for the pain/discomfort now is ibuprofen and paracetamol which is doing the trick.
When I was first allowed to shower and saw them out of the bra for the first time they were very very high (and still are but slowly dropping). I also really didn’t like touching them - possibly because they’re still very numb and it just feels weird. I’m getting better though.
My wounds weren’t stitched, my surgeon glued them then put an additional glue dressing/bandage over the top. After 4 days I was told to use savlon cream on the dressing as it will help break it down and by next week I should be able to start slowly picking it away. The savlon cream can be messy and dirty the compression bra so was advised to put flat cotton pads on top before putting on my bra. In the morning I’m to remove the cotton pads and have a shower using hibiscrub to wash the wounds then apply antiseptic spray. Sounds easy, issue is, the cotton pads have been getting stuck and today as I’m attempting to remove them, they’re ripping and staying attached and starting to hurt. To try and help, I’ve got in the shower with the pads still attached and got them wet and they’ve come away much easier. However, when I’ve got out the shower and dried and checked the wounds, on my right breast the whole of the glue dressing has been ripped off and half the dressing on my left breast has too. So the wounds are a bit tender.
I’ve attached some photos from 4 days after and now a week after. I think they’ve already changed so much in 3 days it’s unreal. My right boob has dropped more than my left, and my left is still more swollen than the right. Can’t wait for them to fully drop, I hate the way they look from the side at the moment.
Currently waiting for my surgeon to email over the before photos he took so I can upload them too.
