WORTH IT
I can’t believe the day is finally here!!! I have wanted to get my boobs done for as long as I can remember and now I’m currently sat waiting for my turn to go in.I finally started this process in October 2020, through loads of research I found Dr. James Murphy and had my initial consultation with him via zoom where we discussed everything I’d like to get out of the surgery. I then had my first in-person consultation in December during which we discussed size options in more detail and had the 3D scan done. Ultimately we settled on mid 300 range Demi implant, either 340 or 360 as the dr has explained that he needs to see how much space I have internally to ensure the fit is perfect.I’ve attached some before and wish pics and will keep updated with recovery.

340 cc Demi - 1 hr post op & 2 day post op

I love my new boobs!!!
I also feel so silly for being worried about the anaesthetic at all, it was so easy and quick. I ended up with 340 cc Demi implants, under the muscle.
I was back up in my room very shortly after waking and slept mostly, but there was quite a bit of nausea from the anaesthetic and the opioids given in recovery. My Dr and the anaesthesiologist both came in the evening to check in and let me know that everything went very well. The Dr advised that I’d be going without a support bra for the night to let the implant settle and let the muscle do it’s thing. His nurse came the next morning and fitted me for a support bra.
I’m now 2 days post op and the pain has been very manageable, mostly by paracetamol (aspirin) but also a strong ibuprofen a couple of times a day if needed. The pain is actually mostly around my rib cage/arm pit and in between the boobs. The boobs themselves have already softened a lot since yesterday when they were rock hard, there is some numbness which is a really odd sensation but it’s not painful. I’d even say that the thing that hurts most is the band of the support bra squeezing around my ribs.
I have a one week post op appointment booked with the surgeon’s nurse next Thursday.

Did you stay in a hospital for this procedure? You mentioned that both doctors came up into your room that night?!?!

I stayed overnight yes, not for any emergency reason, it was planned from start.

Looking good thus far! I like that support bra too. Take care.

I think I had mine done on the same day! I had 340cc Demi Ergonomix too. Haven’t had a look at mine yet without my support bra on but I’m in quite a lot of discomfort.

What size did you start off at before? And did you go under, over or Dual??
April 13, 2021
Hii! I got dual plane, and was an A cup before.

Its been an interesting few days, I’m not in pain but there is constant discomfort. There’s still swelling and numbness, but as the numbness fades differently in left and right I end up feeling really lopsided which plays on your mind.

How are you getting on? X

I’m in quite a bit of discomfort! I have been given a strap to wear as well as my compression bra and that’s quite uncomfortable too. But I’m keeping on top of my meds and that’s helping.

I haven’t been brave enough to take my bra off yet and have a look! The swelling is definitely going down though, they’re not as high.

Try not to worry about them being lopsided! Each boob can change at different times, I’m sure they’ll even out x

So the first week and a bit has gone really well. I had my first post of consultation on Thursday, one week after surgery. The nurse removed the industrial bandages over my incisions, cleaned them and covered them with tape - I’m to keep that up for the next month. I was told as well that everything is as expected.

Again, there’s not been a lot of pain, just some general discomfort. It feels like wearing a really padded bra, and it’s hard to remember you can’t just adjust by nudging it with your arm!

I think the most difficult part of the first week for me has been the mental component, specifically trying not to think about things too much. It can be a bit of a roller coaster between “they’re not big enough” and “omg they’re massive!”, especially as you get used to the view of looking down at them but then see them fully in the mirror, plus the support bra seems to have a very minimising effect. Also, the numbness doesn’t necessarily wear off evenly, so there was one day I had regained quite a bit of sensation in my left breast but not the right which made it feel like the right one was much bigger even though they look exactly the same. I know I need to just trust the process so I’ve just been trying to keep busy with tv and books so I can’t think about things too much.

I’ve attached some photos from throughout the week, oldest to newest, 3, 5, 7, and 10 days post op.
