I have had my teardrop shaped implant 10 years, they have been being soft, fine and natural. Especially when I had them with me for 10 years, they're already part of my body. However, after I gave birth few months ago, my breast shrunk and the shape of the implant was a bit changed, it's not too obvious and still looked natural tho. I always want to have bigger implant which I couldn't accept my breast were even smaller than before, so I decide to replace them with a bigger one.
My surgeon suggested me motiva ergonomix. My old implant was 225cc and i was suggested to get a 315cc one. He told me the implant can be very natural and it stands as teardrop. I was excited about it but the nightmare started..,

Sorry I know you may not want to hear this but you really do have to be patient, it all takes time settle. You can’t compare 10 year old teardrops to 2 month old implants in any brand. Maybe you forgot what they were like 10 years ago, but ALL implants start out firm and unnatural looking/feeling in comparison to years later. Personally having had both in the last few years, Motiva ergonomix wins hands down. They are top of the line and they do settle into teardrop like shape. Don’t panic and give it time, after a year you’ll have more of an idea of what you’re dealing with but even then it’ll still get softer over the years. Good luck

Thanks for your good words, BelleBooty. Later I'll post pictures of my post op, you'll see how awful my situation is :( it looks too round in shape which i believe the shape of implant cannot be changed or improve. I'm so upset with my decision, I'm very regret for getting motiva..

I’ve seen your photos and I understand your concern but I don’t think it’s awful. In time the gel actually settles more towards the bottom and looks more like teardrop. I was just telling someone else that my implants (both sets) took 18 months to reach their final position. They look much better at 6 even better at 12 and beautiful by 18 months. Also, under the muscle take longer to settle and longer to look more natural. I know it’s easy for me to say but try not to lose hope, just be patient and if you really don’t like it in a year then at least you know you have options

I love you, bellebooty. You are soooooo kind. I do really appreciate for your sharing of experience. Currently there's nothing I can do to improve the situation unless I replace the implant with a teardrop shaped one. The only thing I can do is to wait, I understand the implant can be dropped more in time but the shape of the implant won't. Being a woman sometimes is tough.

No problem, after a year you can see and decide. Fingers crossed they start doing what you want. Because I’ve had both and ended up happier with motiva ergonomix I’m really hoping it works out for you! x

2 months post op, it’s awful..

The pictures show how my breast look like two month since my BA.
it’s soft and there’s no any discomfort at all. They have also dropped compare to the beginning. The swelling has completely gone and I think they’re already settled. as I have been having breast implant for 10 years and in addition of my breast grow a lot in size during pregnancy (I think it went up 1-2cups) then reduce to original size after delivery, my breast muscles and tissue should be elastic enough and there should be plenty of room for my new implants to drop.
Even the implants hv dropped, the shape of the result is awful. It’s so fake, the implants are so obvious and they are too round, it looks like two round balls stick on my chest. I hate myself so much when looking at my breast

As you can see my pictures, this is how it looks after 3 months since my BA. Even the implants were placed under the muscles, they still very obvious. It doesn’t seem to drop more and I think they have already settled. The shape of my breast look so weird especially on the side, it’s very pointy. The motiva ergonomix doesn’t have a teardrop shape at all as described. It’s totally a round shaped implants. As u can see the picture with bra wore on, it looks like two oranges in a bra.
I’m so regret and so upset with my decision of choosing motiva, it doesn’t give me a natural looking at all. I do hate myself so much everyday when I look at the mirror. I lose all my confidence and being very dispirited.

Were you able to consult your surgeon about this? It looks a bit like it might be capsular contracture?
Did the doctor advice anything else to improve the looks of the implants?
I am just 2DPO but trying to massage them and ROM arm exercises to keep it from feeling too tight.
I have a feeling yours will get better in time.
