Motiva 275cc Full Profile Over the Muscle

It's been 1 year and 2 months since the op. Last week, I went for the last review to take graduation photos (of the boobs, not me) and was feeling nostalgic in that photo-taking room... Decided to share my experiences and as much info as I can recall with all of you here.

I'm in my 30s, 158cm tall, weigh about 49kg, bra size A/AA/AAA (whatever!), exercise regularly, thin not much fats on my body, no kids never breastfed, skin tight. So, if you are in the same category as me then read on!

To improve quality of life, I did some research on BA, for some reason Dr Tan caught my attention, and also the brand Motiva. Went for the first consultation, the nurse was Amber. We took some photos using a machine that can show you how the different sizes and profiles will look on you. Dr Tan recommended a 275cc Full profile for me. Decided to sit on it for a day, but actually I already fell in love with the people and the place! They were both professional and cute, and the place was designed with privacy in mind. Well, you have to go check them out for yourself!

On the day of the op, more photo taking for documentation. I was feeling very shy the first few times, I mean other than my hb I don’t remember if there were other instances where I needed to be interacting or holding a conversation with someone in a state of undress, was quite an experience. But actually to them we are just their 'n' th patient, so just get used to it quickly! Lying on the operation table, I was feeling happy and excited. The anesthetist Dr Teo talked to me for a while and then in an instance I fell asleep. I think he did a great job as I woke up feeling nothing much, other than a few minutes of shivering, the body’s way to generate heat I think. No headache, no groggy, no nausea, no pain, but my chest felt very sore / heavy. (Yes, because I’m suddenly size D now~)

Back at home, that’s when the journey to recovery starts. I was given strong painkillers, sleeping pills, antibiotics, antioxidant pills, which I appreciated very much. The SW1 team was also just a WhatsApp away, that was assuring. The first time I saw the girls in the mirror, ‘OMG very big! Very big!’ I exclaimed in excitement. I recall Dr Tan mentioned during the consultation, for girls who are small, anything will also look very big to us haha! So I do think it is wiser not to overdo the size. A 275cc made me a 32D already (btw I'm a small frame, 10.5 bwd). As the anesthesia effect wore off throughout the day, I started feeling some pain in the chest area from evening. I chose to skip the sleeping pills and the strong painkillers, as I managed it with some Panadol during the night. The first night was the worst for me pain-wise, day 2 onwards was much better and I didn’t need med to cope already. From what I gathered, my post-op recovery was relatively easier because I chose the option of doing over the muscle. I'm quite sporty, the thought of having my pectoral muscle cut/relaxed is just unacceptable to me… Luckily during the consultation I was deemed suitable for the over muscle placement. (Otherwise I don’t want to do liao la…)

Although you can go back to work a few days after op, I suggest taking more days off to rest as your body deserves it after having been sliced across the chest literally. I was like a baby napping on and off during the day (and then Netflix) and automatically sleeping about 10hrs every night, some serious healing in progress. Before the big day, I arranged for a nutritious food delivery package so didn’t have to worry about my meals immediately post op. Filled up my fridge with fruits and vegetables for extra antioxidant. Weeks before the op, I started learning how to sleep on my back. I had all along been a side sleeper, but I read that it's just easier to sleep on the back post op. Optional, though good to prepare beforehand.

After the op, I went back for review with Dr Tan a handful more times. Always feeling excited to go back. They were friendly and had good time management, the overall experience was pleasant. I like it that during one of the reviews they did the sizing for me so I know conveniently what bra size to buy thereafter. As I run regularly, I like lululemon’s sports bra particularly the one with a zip in front, it holds on to the boobs so well. I was cleared by doc to run about week 7+- after op, fyi. It's always good to play it safe post-op, eat well, rest well, and move slowly lol.

Weeks following the op, as I was small to begin with plus never breastfed, the chest skin constantly felt very tight and I was always hunched back. Lower half of my boobs were numb. The nipples became very sensitive and quite often there would be feelings of like electric waves, nerves repairing I think. For me the hardest to bear was actually the itch lol, it was crazy! The skin was stretching basically. The discomfort lasted for a couple of months, but they were all manageable. Things are definitely much better now, boobs soften, skin loosen, nipples feeling are back, except once in a while may have some feeling of pain from random places, probably due to scar formation inside.

Fast forward to the last review, final words from doc, just enjoy them and don’t worry so much.
Agree.
