Motiva Breast Augmentation and Electro Coagulation Treatment to Areolas. Minor Tubular Breasts, 26 Year Old.
Motiva Breast Augmentation and Electro Coagulation Treatment to Areolas. Minor Tubular Breasts, 26 Year Old.
Heyyy,
This website was super helpful for me when I was waiting to have my surgery, so I thought it is only fair to help others out the best I can by leaving my own review.
I’d been really unhappy with my breasts for as long as I can remember as I have a minor case of tubular breast. Tubular breast is where the breast tissue didn’t develop properly and for some you can see asymmetric, cone/pointy breasts and large and puffy areolas. In my case, my tubular breasts are minor in comparison to others but I have always felt embarrassed about them. I finally decided to do something about it this year and had my breast augmentation yesterday!
I had 380cc ESRD motiva implants (ergonomic, silicone, round, demi) as when I found my surgeon he assured me this was a great implant to go for in order to achieve a natural look where the implants move with your body. I have also had a treatment called electro coagulation on my areolas and this is performed to prevent stretching of the nipples/areolas and to also reduce puffiness.
I was a 32a/b and am hoping to achieve a slightly fuller but natural look.
Surgery went ok, I was waiting for a few hours as the hospital was busy yesterday which doesn’t help when you’re quite nervous and can’t have a loved one in to support you. But when I did see the surgeon and anaesthetist, they put my mind at rest and were so welcoming. The anaesthetic did mess me around a little but never had GA before so it’s to be expected. I was incredibly sore and felt heavy on my chest when I woke up and asked for a top up of pain killers. I stayed in the hospital for approximately 4 hours after my surgery and then I was allowed to go home. The thing that is the most uncomfortable is the band over the top of my boobs! Hoping this eases.
Photos are pre-op and post just of my surgical bra and band in my hospital room afterwards and when I was dressed before I went home.
Will keep you updated! Any questions please do ask me or advice for easing pain of band very welcome! M x
Day 2 post op
Day 2 post op today and I slept ok last night, although I annoyed myself that I left my work alarm on so that woke me up at 6am. Went back to sleep pretty easily til 8:30am. Woke up in quite a lot of discomfort, chest is feeling really heavy and tender and the added compression band is awful. I was hoping I’d feel a little better this morning after reading other’s reviews but I understand everyone’s healing and recovery is different. If anyone has any recovery tips they would be warmly welcomed. M x

Day 4 post op
The last few days have been tricky in terms of discomfort, feeling nauseous and not being able to go to the toilet for a no.2. I could have cried happy tears when I finally had a bowel movement yesterday afternoon.
Feeling so much better today after my dressing removal and shower. I have obviously been in pain since surgery but I think what I’ve been struggling with most is the nauseous feeling after general anaesthetic, also taking codeine as a painkiller I believe is making that worse. From today I’m trying to manage my pain with paracetamol and ibuprofen whilst of course finishing my course of antibiotics.
I was extremely nervous and emotional to have the plasters off and see my boobs, incisions and nipples after having the electro-coagulation treatment but I was pleasantly surprised even though I know my boobs have a way to go yet. As you can see in photos, my areolas look like I’ve been shot with a BB gun and they’re a little low but as my boobs drop and fluff I’m hoping they’ll form into a nicer shape. Can’t tell you how much better in myself I felt after a shower and hair wash. My virtual consultation with my surgeon went well and he’s happy with how my boobs are looking 4 days on from surgery.
Christmas Day tomorrow so hoping to feel even better.
M x
