Morpheus8 Treatment on Jaw and Neck
I recently had a Morpheus8 treatment on my face, jaw and neck and I feel it’s important to share my experience so others can make an informed decision.
I had topical numbing cream applied for about 40 minutes before the procedure, however the treatment was extremely painful for me — honestly one of the most painful things I have experienced apart from childbirth. When the practitioner worked on my jaw and neck area I became extremely emotional and started crying during the session, which I could not control.
What upset me most is that I was not prepared for how intense the pain could be or that such a strong emotional reaction might occur. If I had been properly informed, I would have felt more prepared or could have discussed additional pain management options beforehand.
It has now been over a week since the treatment and I have felt quite low and flat emotionally afterwards. This also wasn’t something I had been warned about.
I was originally booked for a course of three treatments, but after this experience the thought of going through it again gives me anxiety, so I will not be continuing with the remaining sessions. This is disappointing as it means I have spent a significant amount of money on a treatment plan I no longer feel comfortable completing.
I’m not saying this will be everyone’s experience, but I do believe clinics should be very transparent about potential pain levels and possible reactions so clients can give proper informed consent.
