Research Before Morpheus 8

Calm247421
I had one treatment of Morpheus 8 and will not be having a second. I wasn’t prepared for the pain involved or the recovering afterward.
I was told 3-5 days of slight bruising and swelling but in reality it was 2 weeks of blacks eyes, 5 weeks of grid marks, and now I have Post Inflammatory Pigment Alteration. The procedure felt like being popped with a nail gun. I’m now seeing another Doctor to hopefully correct the dark brown circle around my eyes. The two Doctors I’ve consulted with believe the setting was too high. I also have one eyelid that is dropping/hanging as if it’s lost elasticity. I never had this before eggs procedure. Go into this procedure educated and have a very experienced Doctor perform the treatment.

That's a shame to read the issues you've had following your treatment. Certainly makes me think twice about going ahead with Morpheus 8. I can only imagine how concerned you'd be with the pigmentation caused by the laser, I'm sure it'll fade in no time. Good luck xo

It’s not a laser.

I had a terrible experience as well. Very painful (I normally have a high pain tolerance), terrible grid marks post treatment, burnt my skin, scarred my nose, then suffered hypopigmentation. I believe the setting was too high. The doctor worked with me to correct the damage but it definitely wasn’t what I signed up for. I see others with great results but it’s not for everyone. I had 3 treatments total but should have known better and stopped after the first one.

I too could not deal with the pain - the face was "manageable" (and I say that loosely) - but on my neck I had literal muscle spasms with sharp pain during the treatment. Right now my face looks like I was dragged on pavement. I am sure this will take weeks to heal :(

Oh Lord. I could put my last comment here. These types of procedures, every time RS does a group of these proceedcures and I am stretching my memory to recall one positive review of them. It has to be stopped because HX is repeating itself and women are suffering and PAYING hard earned bucks to suffer pain and disappointment. I wish you only the best. Love PJ

Me too! I paid $2,994 for 3 extremely painful sessions. I asked for a nerve block for the last two sessions and just having six of those needles injected was painful enough!!! And it only helped slightly. After 4 months after the third session, I haven’t seen any changes. But, they did refund all of my money which I was grateful for.

I am so glad you received a refund. I've read about so many horror stories about procedures that use heat and destroy all underlaying fat in cheeks on face, damaged nerves and teeth. I'm thinking thermage but they all sound painful and when real self was posting results it was one terrible outcome after another until I thought they would outlaw this procedure and those like it. I hope you get your hard earned money back and a positive resolutions to a disappointing proceedure. I wish you the best <3. PJ

It amazes me when I see impressive before and afters with Morpheus. Sadly, not everyone has the same results. Yes, I got a full refund. I had a full necklift and eyelift from this practice 14 years ago and it came out fantastic.

How about; "it doesn't matter which doctor gives the treatment don't ever get this treatment done"? I think after everything you've been through, that is better advice. It's not about the practitioners, it's about the dangerous device itself. I've seen instances where doctors delivered horrible results from horrible devices.
