Reaction to Numbing Cream

I really wanted to try and like Morpheus8, but now I realize it was never meant to be. I’ve been seeing two prominent LA-based plastic surgeons on YouTube promote Morpheus8 for its superior collagen promotion abilities and impressive performance against acne scarring and overall anti-aging qualities.

I have skin type 3, so I burn sometimes and tan sometimes. I have received microneedling treatments with PRP in the past with amazing results so I was really looking forward to what I could achieve with the latest microneedling technology.

Unfortunately for me I had a terrible reaction to the numbing cream that was applied to my face. Keep in mind that this happened at a very reputable plastic surgeon’s office. My face was covered in red, raised swelling all over my mid to lower face and very painful blisters too. We could not proceed with the treatment.

I got prescribed fucidin to apply to my face.

Do I regret my decision to try this? Absolutely. In hindsight I should have just stuck to the tried-and-true. It is nighttime about 10 hours post the ordeal and my facial skin hasn’t gotten any better. I am now oozing fluids from my facial blisters. Hoping everything goes away soon as I cannot possibly in my right mind step out of the house.

Please exercise all caution and stick to what is tried and true.

Can you please share what your current situation is? My face is completely ruined.
I am so sorry that you’re going through this. Fortunately my face is back to normal after weeks of staying out of the sun and only venturing out at night—this is key as sunlight will turn the red marks left behind by the blisters into permanent hyperpigmentation. Honestly this was a very traumatic experience for me, I wouldn’t wish it on anyone
