Not Worth It for the Money

Not Worth It for the Money

I had Morpheus 8 done in January 2021 mostly to smooth out my skin and lessen fine lines and tighten slight jowls and marionette lines. I was NOT expecting "face lift" like results. The procedure is fairly invasive, in that the marks on your skin are very noticeable and do not go away for about 3 days. I looked like a cat had scratched my skin all over my face, which is what I was told to expect. I received 1100 pulses over my face and neck. It did hurt, but I think it is difficult to know what to expect because different people have very different pain tolerances. It feels like someone is puncturing your skin with tiny fine needles very quickly, which is exactly what they are doing. I thought the added "benefit" of the RF would do more than just microneedling, so that is why I opted for Morpheus 8. I am very disappointed in the results. I do not blame the office staff I went to, as I think the procedure was done properly and completely. I just think the process itself does not create the effect of tightening or smoothing of the skin. I would NOT recommend this procedure. I would say that I didn't even get a 10% improvement in my skin in smoothness or tightening. I did get only 1 procedure, and I understand it may take up to 3 to notice a difference, but considering the price, and the almost non-existent improvement, I can't justify spending more money on a procedure that didn't create more of a benefit after one treatment. Even IPL creates more of an effect after one treatment than Morpheus 8.

What did it feel like? How much did it cost? I'm surprised to see those marks.
It felt like many tiny needles quickly poking into your skin. There is a numbing solution/gel they put on your skin, but it doesn't take all the pain away. I think because everyone tolerates pain differently that it's hard to describe how painful it was. I just looked at it like although it was painful while it was happening, the pain did not continue after the procedure was done and she kept me updated on how much was left, so I could keep that in mind to get through it. I was told it would look like that with the scratches, and they did go away completely after three days. The scratches did not hurt (unlike if you get a scratch from a dog or cat), although they were itchy, but I put a light moisturizer on them and that helped. This was just my experience, and since everyone's skin is different, and different ages, it may help some people more than others.
Omg. I don't think it is supposed to look like that! I also had some slight scratches but nothing like you have.
I'm booked in 10 days so can't judge from personal experience yet but looks wrong and diffrent to what I've seen. Have you informed your supplier?
It hurts a lot!
It's disappointing it didn't help more, especially for the cost & pain. Have you done regular microneedling?
No, I have not done regular microneedling. The only procedure I had done before this was IPL and that did lighten dark spots on my face. I thought the Morpheus 8 -microneedling with RF - would be more effective because it penetrates deeper, makes more collagen, etc., so that is why I chose it. I am 55, and it seemed like the before and after photos I saw of women who had similar issues to me did see a benefit, so perhaps this just was not the best option for me. Of course, you can't know that until you try it!
