Inflammatory Reaction and Hyperpigmentation

I’d heard from numerous friends about how this procedure has helped tighten the skin on their stomachs, made loose from having kids. I went for my 1st treatment and the procedure was extremely painful. I had numbing cream on for close to an hour before hand and it felt like I’d had none. She said she was going to do 2 passes over the area. One at 4mm and one at 3mm. I’m biracial and she said this would be best for my skin type. I had some mild swelling and discomfort that evening and early the next day and then it progressively got inflamed, red, and extremely itchy. It felt like I’d be attacked by 1000 mosquitoes. I had to taken Benadryl to help and started using a corticosteroid to help with the inflammation. Now I’m left with what looks like post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. It’s slowly faded but I can already tell it will be at least another 6 weeks until it’s gone. I’m not impressed.
