Horrible Morpheus 8 Experience
ecok123December 1, 2020
I had my first, last and ONLY Morpheus 8 procedure performed by a doctor on October 29, 2020. Prior to doing the procedure I did plenty of my own online research if this procedure would be a good fit for me. I also, prior to the procedure spoke to the doctor, Morpheus sales rep and office staff, that this procedure would be safe and effective for targeting fine lines and creepiness around my eyes. I was advised this would help and address this area with little to no downtime.
Within several minutes of the procedure I already had the beginnings of bruising under my one eye. By the time the procedure was completed, about 45 minutes later, both eyes were bruising. I was advised to ice, use arnica and purchased the post care cream they recommended.
By the next day I had severe bruising, swelling and soreness under both eyes which continued for a several weeks. I also documented daily with photos and videos, as well as, notified the doctors office. I also suggested they contact Inmode as I was extremely concerned to the degree of damage to my skin and growing bruising. I went for two follow up appts to discuss the severe bruising, poor skin texture and my extreme dissatisfaction and growing concerns. The doctor had little to no answers other than my skin was thin in this area. I also contacted Inmode myself hoping to get some advice. I spoke to and told my whole ordeal to customer service. That person passed the buck and sent me to another extension in the company where I left a message and have never heard back.
It is now just about 5 weeks later, I am left with dark bruising, or circles under my eyes (which cannot be covered with makeup) that make me look 10 years older than before I did this procedure. I did not have any such marks under my eyes prior to this AWFUL procedure and fortunately have pictures that were taken right before the Morpheus 8 was preformed. In addition, the skin around my eyes is more wrinkled and creepier than before the procedure. Also, since I do have daily pictures I see NO positive outcome in the other areas of my face and neck that were also treated.
I am a 49 year old Caucasian woman who is extremely seasoned in taking great care of my skin. I do regular facials and use predominantly medical grade skin care. I also do Botox, filler, microdermabrasion, micro needling and peels as needed for the last 20+ years. I have had good success in keeping my skin as youthful as possible until getting the Morpheus 8 procedure. This by far has been the WORST experience which was advertised as a great, non invasive, no downtime procedure.
Maybe now after leaving this review someone from the company will contact me back so I can get some answers as to what to do with what I am left with under my eyes from Morpheus 8.

I was not on any blood thinners and because I have bruised (never this severally) before from fillers I make sure I avoid anything the week prior that may cause bruising.
Just started hydroquinone again about 7 days ago and vitamin K today so thank you for that.
I will look into the Vbeam and BBL for the bruising.
Again ty!
It’s been 2 months and the bruising and marks are fading, but very slowly. I’ve been taking bromelain and using vitamin k creme and hydroquinone. I wasn’t sure if the bruising was due to the needle depth or the energy level used, or perhaps both. This procedure seems like it’s safer if done with less severe settings spread over a series of treatments.
I am also sorry for your experience.
It’s now 6 weeks since my Morpheus 8 procedure. I just went yesterday for a second opinion from a different doctor. This doctor has told me that I have vascular hemosiderin/staining under both my eyes as well. I have been advised that creams will not fade this and that it may be permanent. In addition I was told I could try laser treatment to lighten the staining however after this experience I am definitely not willing to do that.
The doctor that did the treatment did provide me with a hydroquinone cream at my last check in appt however after using it for a few days I discontinued using it as it was making the texture of the skin look worse.
I agree completely with you as this has been extremely stressful.
I’m glad to hear your staining has faded slightly. Hopefully as time goes on mine will fade as well.
I will check back in at my 2 month point.
Again thank you for your post.
I completely agree as well that this procedure is far from worth it.
