This is 9 weeks post. I just got off a 12 day oral prednisone and had also been using a topical steroid. That seemed to help but now the bumps are coming back and you can really see each pin hole. Has anyone else experienced this? Everyone keeps saying it’s going to get better but I am losing hope.

Things don't seem to be improving...

Does anyone have a similar reaction and/or resolution? This is 5 weeks out...bumps don't seem to be improving. I have been taking antihistamines, I have done a light skinpen and light clearsilk for the pigmentation. I have also been doing red light therapy.

I'm so sorry this has happened to you I just had my second treatment yesterday and it's beyond painful and I hate the thought of going through all this for nothing only to have your skin look worse my doctor does the Morpheus age and then he takes me in another room and does CO2 which is like a laser so I'm wondering if that's why they're combining it with the Morpheus 8 knowing that it causes these problems either way you should have been told about it I hope that you see some improvement soon

How many weeks did it take for the “chicken skin “ to return to normal ?

HELP - This is my Skin 4 Weeks After One Morpheus Treatment
Enthusiastic221416October 8, 2022
I am really concerned. This was the first time I’ve tried Morpheus. This is my skin 4 weeks after treatment. The texture is like goosebumps or chicken skin all over my face. I don’t have a history of skin irritation or skin sensitivity. My provider told me this was not a common reaction but it would get better by week 3. It hasn’t gotten any better and has remained the same since the day after treatment. Does anyone have an explanation??? I am really concerned!

I would try a chemical peel. Maybe it’s trapped dead skin in the holes they made from the device

jstockton I'm afraid to try a peel as my skin is fairly sensitive. Maybe a hydrafacial? In my case if you look really close, the bumps look like smooth solid little raised round scars, not rough. (I am NOT a keloid former either, usually heal well from lacerations and abrasions). Very frustrating.

I am 3 weeks out from mine. Same thing! Looks like chicken skin, like every place there was a needle puncture has a tiny raised slightly hyperpigmented scar. I followed instructions exactly and then some- didn't even go outside during the daytime for a full week so as to not even potentially irritate my skin with sunscreen or makeup. Only used the gentlest of medical grade skincare emollients and cleansers, I take daily oral vitamin C and collagen anyway. And it itched like hell until just a couple of days ago. Damn skin looks like what people would get morpheus FOR (I am not going to get morpheus to treat my Morpheus scars ugh). Hoping it improves with time having now resumed my regular skincare which includes retinal at night.

I stay like that after one year after M8 and it was just one session. I lost fat in temples too and middle face!

I’m 9 weeks post. Did an oral steroid for two weeks and it seemed to helped. But now that I’m off the bumps came back

I have tried topical steroids and doxycycline which didn’t do anything to help. I did a 12 day prednisone which seemed to help get the inflammation down but the pin holes were still visible. After stopping, the bumps came back. Now, I am on methotrexate which I have just started so I’m unable to report back.
I am 3 months out from treatment and I have to say I am still just so upset about the outcome. I still have bumps although they seem to be getting less pronounced but serious pigmentation issues at every pin hole. They don’t warn you of these potential side effects and I also don’t think they warn the practitioners of them either and/or have them properly trained. Hoping the best for everyone going through this.
