5 weeks post! Scars and exercise

First of all, thank you to those who commented and messaged after my last update! You really helped me to worry less since I'm so early in the healing process!
I went for a follow up today with Dr Lee and he said everything looks great, he gave me some massages to do to help even out some of the asymmetry and some silicone gel to start applying for the scars. He also said that could try Dye Pulsed Laser, but I'm not too sure how I feel about that, haven't heard great things..
Anyways, here are some pics taken yesterday. The asymmetry is still there obviously but the scars are looking slightly better than a couple of weeks ago.

what a difference from your last update. Things are changing so much, so please try not to worry (I know, it's hard). You're looking great! My left side was super duper high and it has now fallen and looks almost identical to the right side (which is crazy, b/c it never was identical pre-op). Your scars are really healing great too.

Thank you so much! it's comments like yours that make it easier not to worry!! :)

Are you happy that you went with the bigger size now that it's all said and done?? I too am thinking about just doing a 300cc but i go back and forth between the 300 and the 339.. My measurements are very similar to yours..

If you had to go back would you have chosen the same size or would you have gone smaller?? Just wondering b/c I'm your same stats.. having the same lift and debating on size!! It's so nerve wracking!! I'm thinking that 339 might be my magic number..
January 26, 2017
I'm SO happy with the size, they're just a bit larger than what I looked like pre-op in clothing, which was exactly what i wanted. They're so much fuller now though, that I can easily push them up or show them off when I want to, without feeling like they're always on display!

Thanks !! I'm so excited. You look so fantastic. So happy for you !! I think I'll be ok with the 339cc without looking too big since I'm your same stats. How have your workout been ? I'll be so anxious to get back to them !!

Scars at 2.5 weeks as compared to 3.5 weeks Post-Op

First of all, ew.
When the paper tape from the surgery got too gross around two and half weeks my PS told me to just gently trim what I could and remove the rest.
Once I saw what was under there I almost wished the tape could just stay on. *Holy Scars Batman!!* I had little blisters from the tape and black scabs and bruising and angry puffy redness. What a let down :(

Also, my left implant is still quite a bit higher than the right so it's pushing my nipple down making my breasts look really unsymmetrical.

Other than in the shower I barely looked at them for a good 2-3 days and tried to remind myself that this is temporary, this is not what they'll look like after a few months and, if I'm being really honest, even if they stayed like this forever they'd still be better than what I had prior to surgery!

Now, at almost a month the scars have calmed down a little, the blisters are healing the scabs are all but gone. I still have the asymmetry but I know that's going to even out with time.

Feeling much better psychologically but WOW what a roller coaster ride!

Anyone who wants to make me feel better about this asymmetry or scarring, please comment :)

Totally understand your reaction when you took off the tapes! I am a bit over 4 weeks now and if i can encourage you i saw a lot of improvement the last week! Scars are much smoother, everyday i feel less frankenstein style! You are already looking great, lets be patient some more now!

Hi worriedmuch!

thanks for your comment, I'm trying to be patient... harnessing my zen hahahah. I was just feeling a little discouraged, I'd read about the boobie blues but yes it's a real thing!
Hopefully they'll improve quickly and I have a follow up with my PS next week to make sure everything's healing the way it needs to!
take care :)

Hoy hun! Don't worry about that little asymmetry, it's really minimal! I swear, your girls look fabulous on the 3.5 weeks photo. Everything is OK :)

Hi juditina:)
I think the scarring plus the asymmetry really shocked me at first. Good to know this is normal!
Thanks for making me feel better about it though. :)

My doctor said that because you are a human, they will not be the same for a while - one always drops faster than the other. She also said that if they stayed the way they are now, nobody would get a BA!

Hi Underdog56
I guess I wasn't anticipating the emotional part of them not looking great at first!
I'll try not to obsess and give them the time they need to heal and adjust
Thanks for your comment!!

I feel like mine are too big on top and they don't look pretty to me, yet, as they refuse to drop even a little. It's very hard not to feel like I did the wrong thing by having her pick the larger size. I keep thinking that maybe I would have been better with 385cc instead of the 435cc that she decided on. My implants are larger than yours because I had a lot less tissue than you did before, but they look about the same. I really can't imagine what they will look like when they drop, sort-of like when you have your first baby, you can't imagine having one.

ehi you got very good result :) . I will need a lift with my revision surgery and I don't like the idea of the scars either, I understand that, but I think the key as you said it's knowing that it's temporary and the scar won't look like this forever and it's going to give you the best outcome possible. I have looked to a lot of breast lift scar before and after, and with years they do fade a lot. I'm also checking out possible silicone gel tape to use on it( I'm doing a lot of research). I found also that there are silicone gel sheet designed for this type of scars. Keep us updated :) I wish you a speedy recovery.

I'm wondering why your doctor told you not to remove the tape. My doctor told me to remove it if it was bothering me, so I did it right away because I read a woman's post where she left it on too long and it caused scars of its own. I also kept the incision area clean with alcohol and removed all the Sharpie marks. When I went back for my one week checkup, I was given medicated tape to help the healing, but I can remove it to shower, etc.

15 Days Post Op

Hi ladies,

I'm just over 2 weeks out and feeling great. My breasts are softening up quite a bit, they're just still stiff in the mornings and on the top in general since they're under the muscle.
I've been able to drive for a few days now and I'm really happy to be mobile again, was feeling really fed up of asking everyone to help with everything!

Anxious to see what the scars look like but my surgeon said the tape should stay on until it falls off on its own, which I know is better for the scars in the long run so I know I can be patient for a while longer ;)

You look awesome! :) It takes some time for the scars to fade (anywhere up to 6-12 months on average). I had a BL done last October, my scars are already healing nicely. I've been using Biocorneum 2x daily.

Hi jshu!
Thanks so much! The paper tape that was left on after surgery is starting to peel off so my PS told me to start trimming the loose parts and I'm really happy with what I can see so far, fingers crossed :)
Will update again soon.
