Hi
I have my procedure booked in a little more than 3 weeks. A bit nervous but mostly excited. I am 5'7" and weigh 150 lbs. Have pcos which made me gain 25 lbs in 2 months when I stopped the pill before my pregnancy.
Have lost 20lbs in past 6 months which leaves me with saggy breasts and my love handles which I call 'back butt' that no matter my weight.
Had a few questions :
- It depends I know but could you work within 4 or 5 days? I'm a pharmacist therefore stand alot. I would take the whole week off but as an owner it costs me 70$ a hour to be replaced. I don't mind being in pain lets say 5/ 10.
- how about compression bandages? Can you get dressed over them? Does it show? M6 lipo will be tummy and love handles.
- which area is more painful for the lipo? I have read that thighs tend to be worse than tummy?
- how is 'twilight' anesthesia? = local + sedatives. Please share experiences.
- what about smoking? My dr says to stop a month before. Which I started to do gradually. Any smoker can explain there experience and results?
- alcohol I enjoy having a few drinks on the weekends. I did not understand my dr and am to shy to contac5 him. It is highly frowned upon after because of bruising but what about before?
- I am 36b-c but lack volume. Does injecting 300cc in each breast sound about right? I want a full pair but don't want it to show through my lab coat lol
I will post before pics later on today
Thanks for all your feedback !

So glad you started your pre op review! Here is a forum with one other  member getting breast fat transfer this January 2015. You can also look back on similar older forums to see how members are recovering or to ask them questions. Glad to hear you've stopped smoking. It's a fact that smoking can slow down or even complicate the healing process. Good luck and keep us posted as you continue to get answers to your questions!

My lipo was a nightmare. And, now Its been suggested that my autoimmune disease developed because of the silicone around my saline implants. Wish I had thought to remove them and use the fat to replace them...what a dilemma...I'm glad you are making a wiser choice......

I dont know where to start. I am pleased but a bit discouraged. I guess I thought the recovery would be easier. I slept on and off for 3 days (with pain killers) and today, 4 days later, is the first day I am feeling not too bad.
The surgery was long. Maybe 6 hours. Everything went well and I woke up in a good mood lol (the meds)
My doctor was great. Before, during and even now he calls me to answer any questions I have.
However I was surprised at the post op care I need : draining tubes in front and back for a week, wearing compression 'girdle' for 3 to 4 weeks, losing alot of blood therefore suffering from anemia, ...
Its my fault I should have asked more questions before. My boobs looks good. I was a 36b 150 lbs and 5'7". He put around 450-500cc in each. Hope I will keep most of it :)
The lipo is the painful part. Abdomen and flanks I am beginning to sit normally. Btw you have to sleep on your back for 1 month. There is this burning sensation that occurs as soon as you move.
Anyways it is too soon to say that I am a happy about my decision but I am surrounded by a superbe doctor and not to forget a very loving and patient husband.
Will post pics soon.
