I'm actually enjoying my healing journey. I've been somewhat clean eating. The doctor allowed me to start the scar treatment process. I was given the Biocorneum Cream to start place on the scar after I'm done showering in the morning and at night. I also rub my tummy with BioOil and Coconut Oil. I couldn't be more happier!

Feeling Good

User Avatar

I'm 17 Days Post and absolutely enjoying my decision. In the beginning, I read a lot of the RealSelf Sisters comments to mentally and physically prepare myself and it worked. I went to the doctor this past Friday to have my stitches removed from my belly button and didn't feel them at all. I'm really impressed with my results. I started this at 157 and now I'm down to 150. I eat clean and I also take CLA by GNC. I can't wait to get back in the gym to enhance my definition.

Hi JDP4, You look so good!! I'm so proud of you, and I'm happy to see your doing well. Congrats on the weight loss too. It was the same for me. I think I weighed on surgery day approx 167 lbs& after 3 weeks post -op I weighed in at 157lbs so it was10 lbs for me& such a good feeling. Again glad your doing well& congrats.

Thanks so much! I'm trying! I've been running more and using the P90X to see how far I can tone up in this year! I'm so happy to see us feel good in our bodies again!

First Drain Removed

User Avatar

Today, I went in and had one of the drains (right side) removed. Thanks to another RS sister, I took her advice and took some pain meds prior to arriving to my doctor's appointment and watched the nurse take it out. It feels really comfortable now with only one. I have a follow-up appointment on Friday morning to have the left drain removed. I'm still walking hunched over which is highly recommended until the 2 week post op. Even though I feel like I can walk straight up, it's just a lot of strain on my lower back. I do believe working out prior to my surgery helped me a lot during this recovery time. I also took a full shower last night which was amazing!

Isn't that a huge relief?! I was so happy when mine came out even though I only had it in for 5 days. Can't wait to see your progress, good luck!
