I have had severe back , neck , and shoulder pain for what seems like the last six years . About five years ago I had United Healthcare , but my insurance claim was denied by them . A little over a month ago I tried again since I now have blue cross blue shield and was INSTANTLY approved ! My procedure was on 5/20 and so far I am pleased although I do not get to see my girls until he changes the dressings on tomorrow ! I feel pretty good just sore more than anything . I will update you all after my follow up appointment on tomorrow ! I'm so glad I found this site !!

Hello Sharrr I had United health care they denied my first claim which they usually do they want proof it was medical necessity I filed a appeal and it was overturned So they paid for the whole Procedure Took me 3 1/2 , months I am 5 weeks post opt Good luck on your journey!!!

Hello, I noticed you have United Health Care and so do I...Is it extremely hard to get approved? I have choice plus plan and I really need this reduction...Im a 34g now and my breast are killing my neck, shoulder and back. Any advice you can offer, I greatly appreciate it...

I have same plan you do My advice would be to call them and ask them if breast reduction is covered and if so what is the criteria that needs to be met!! I think they deny alot of times so people give up that is what I would do. I have had alot of neck surgerys so I had my family doctor write a letter and my surgeon did and I did to I have copys of them if you send me your email thru the message part of this so not everyone sees it I keep eye out for you and send you my versions I have saved copies of them Good Luck and dont give up they took over three pounds off together and I my insurance paid for any complications that arose from the surgery I had some bra rolls from going from so big to so small so I had a breast revision at about three months out he extended my scars under my arms toward my back soon will be six months for my original breast reduction and only a month from my reviison I will post more photos soon !! Any chiroprator or Physical therapy or shots or anything documented will help your case I knew I would get denied its just my luck BUT I FOUGHT BACK and IN the meantime had made them pay for a second opinion LOL glad I did went with 38 year in service Plastic surgeon my email is bsvanweelden@gmail.com

Well I've been recovering fairly well . No real pain , discomfort more than anything ! I've been sleeping on the couch which is of course uncomfortable , however I'm coping . I haven't taken any pain pills in a couple of days and everything looks good . I didn't have any drains . I rested the first three days and I have been out since then . I do get a little tired but seems to be no more than before surgery . I added a before and after and soon I will post more updates . He takes the stitches out next Wednesday but he will put more on for another two weeks . Other than that , I am feeling pretty good ! Very pleased !!

I have a consultation with Dr. Budny this afternoon for a breast reduction. Your results look great! Makes me even more excited :) I am a 36DD and wanting to go to a B cup. I hope your recovery is fast and smooth. Keep us updated!
