Wow, I'm so glad I found this website full of great information. I am currently preparing for my surgery on Oct. 12th and am so excited! I wasn't planning on getting any type of surgery done, but I recently found out that my 8 year old silicone implant ruptured and needs to be removed. So..i'm making the most of it and getting the old ones removed, new ones put in as well as a tummy tuck and liposuction of the trunk. I am planning on buying a wedge pillows to sleep on, but i'm nervous about how to get out of bed or the chair without my upper body or tummy muscles for the first few days! Any tips or tricks are appreciated!

It will have to be ALL LEGS!!! Someone will need to help give you a boost by pushing you up from your back and you have to let your legs do all the work.

10 days to go! I had my pre-op appointment the other day and picked up my prescriptions. My pre-op appt made me very excited for the procedure, but a little nervous. My Dr expects my drains to be in about 3 days. Hopefully i'll be doing better by day 4 because my hubby will have to go back to work. We got childcare coverage until day 11. I hope that will be enough!

Good luck with your upcoming surgery! I was back to taking care of my kids after 10 days. I was still hunched and sore but it was manageable until my husband got home later in the day. Your so close, very exciting!

Well I made it! the first 2 days were pretty intense being so uncomfortable. I'm off of my narcotics and am able to get in and out of bed on my own at this point. Walking just to the bathroom and back or to get more water tends to hurt my back as i'm still hunched over quite a bit. My husband helped me take a shower last night and that helped me feel better (or at least be a bit less stinky!) i'll try and get some pictures up next time I take off my binder. I don't feel much pain in my breasts, just soreness. Coughing feels like my stomach is going to rip open. I recommend having cough drops available. My Dr put in three drains, and he took one of them out on day 3. Two more to go, but they are still producing so it will be another few days at least. My Dr said that everything is looking good so far, and that he can already start to see the hourglass figure despite all the swelling.

Congratulations on your recent surgery! Wow! Can't believe you are off of pain meds already! I think I was on my pain meds and muscle relaxers for at least 2 weeks and then as needed after that or just when I went to bed for the night. Good job! Take them if you need them though. Can't wait to see your results! I'm sure you will be looking awesome since it looks like you started off with a pretty good hourglass figure to begin with! : )

Thanks! yea, I actually think taking a muscle relaxer would be helpful for my back but I don't have any! Maybe i'll ask my Dr. next time I see him.
