4 days since procedure

So its Tuesday night and procedure was Fri. No difference in the scale, which doesn't shock me, but I did lose 3 inches off my waist. Nothing off hips/abdomen area but I do have a good amount of swelling. Still a good amount of discomfort/soreness too. There are 5 incisions (upper/lower abdomen) and they all seem fine. Just didn't expect to be so sore. Any advice on swelling or when I'm going to start to feel all this was worth it??? I'm 59, 5'4" and 145 lbs. Believe me, never expecting to be in a 2 piece bathing suit, just want to look better in my clothes/feel comfortable.

My procedure was about 6-8 hours ago

Well, today was the day. The procedure began around 9:30 and I was ready to leave by Noon. I have to say, it was more pain than I thought - in specific areas. I had the upper and lower abdomen done. I'd read that upper was the toughest, but for me it was the opposite. The lower was pretty bad and those are actually the incisions hurting how. Dr. said I had scar tissue there and tough to get to/thru but she was real happy so I guess I should be too. I came home, had a little soup, took a pain killer and slept for about 2.5 hours. Now up and trying to move around as much as possible but getting ready to take another pill. I read so many posts (and am really thankful for this community) but have to say it was tougher than I thought. But I know I will be happy in the long run. Many posts said the girls were happy and saw a difference pretty quickly. I don't know if its because I'm older than most of these ladies and my fat has been there longer, lol, but my Dr. doesn't expect me to see immediate results (instant gratification) but I do know that 3 month results are optimum. Still, I'm eager to shower tomorrow, remove the gauzes in spots plus this foam and take a look. Comments and experiences are always welcome. Thanks so much.

5 days away and quite nervous. I don't know why...

5 days away and quite nervous. I don't know why because for the past 10 years, my dr. (who I have so much confidence and, yes, love for) has done a number of procedures on me, i.e. 2 threadlifts, eyes, occasional filler, and last year a face and neck lift. But Friday I am getting upper and lower abdomen smart lipo. This btw was decided when I was having the last of my follow up appts for the facelift, lol. Why am I so worried about pain when I went thru everything else? So I'm to take my Valium and Vicodin Fri. a.m. and away we go.
