I received Sciton Skintyte and BBL treatment for a pretty big, but new and shallow scar that I caused by picking at a cyst on my face. I've never struggled with acne too much but had a major flare-up this summer and ended up going on sprinolacctone, oracea, and Zovia. All of which really helped clear my skin completely, but I still had that nasty scar that was on my chin right below my lower lip. I started using ViDerm Ultra A which is the .1% tretinoin (powerful stuff) and a 4% hydroquinone bleaching cream as well. I went in for 1 BBL treatment at a surgical office and they treated a pretty large area on my chin (I didn't want my full face because I like the rest of my skin) but they treated too large of an area and that skin looked kinda funny, it's still healing a bit, but other people can't see it, I can just kind of see where they went with the BBL when I look close. But then I went to my dermatologist's office and started having them do a combined treatment of BBL and skintyte on the scar and they are really precise and I am noticing a huge difference in the color, texture and size of the scar. I still use the Ultra A like once a week along with some other good skin products. But realistically, I've only been treating the area for about 2 and a half months and have seen almost complete improvement. I still know it's there (I've had 3 of the BBLs and Skintyte) but at the Drs. office, they said it's really up to me if I want more because they can't see it anymore. But I want to go back for the final 2 treatments to get full results. I can't tell you how much of a difference this has made in my life. I always was pretty confident until I got this scar and then I felt terrible and didn't want to leave the house. It may sound vain, but this treatment has really given me my life back. I spent $75 on each BBL/Skintyte (because it is such a small area) and the ViDerm products each cost between $75 and $100. I still have a ton of Ultra A because you only use a little tiny dab and I only use it on that area, but I had to order more bleaching cream yesterday. So worth it to get my confidence back! Overall I will have spent $375 on BBL/Skintyte (plus $100 at the office I'm not going back to) and about $250 on products specifically for this issue. I know that might seem like a lot for one scar but it was worth it to me.
