WORTH IT
I am 5'2" curvy lady with 38 g, I have neck pain, back pain, and emotional pain from all the comments about my big chest! I want to be someone other than the girl with big boobies! I have hated them for years, finally had my first consult my Dr. strongly recommended my surgery, due to my smaller frame, the rash, shoulder indents, he said if he could only pick 5 surgies his whole career, I would be one!
I am on cloud nine, excited for it, now waiting on insurance I am scared, unsure, I have always had big boobs can I live without them? I need support!

My appointment was on Jan 11th, all my records from other docs was turned in on Jan 20th and mailed to insurance! The wait is killing me since I made my decisions, I want to know! How long does it normally take insurance to respond?

Hi Montana, I have been considering getting a reduction for the past 5 years and I mean it has been on my mind EVERY day for the past 5 years, I went through the insurance process and I'm sure everything will go smoothly for you. I am trying to schedule my procedure for March as well so I wish you so much luck.
Ask all the questions you need to and utilize this site, the women on here have been so helpful and really give an accurate view of what a reduction is like, the good, the bad, the ugly and beautiful:) Being nervous and all over the place is normal, but just think about the days when you will be able to wear cute bikinis and tub tops without spilling out! I know I look forward to those days! Take care:)

I had my surgery on Jan 20th & will be 2 weeks post op tomorrow. I work in an office as well and will be ready to go back next week. As long as you don't have to do any heavy lifting. I asked for 2 weeks off but know that some others have gone back sooner. Two weeks worked well for me. Good luck!

Hello! Looks like we may be March girls together :) I am also petite like you, and ready to get these suckers off my body! LOL! Good luck with the insurance! I am a grad student and have put my surgery up against my spring break... Basically I am taking the week before spring break off and adding that to the ten days of break so that I get just a day shy of three weeks to recover :) I am sure that is way more then I will need, but it makes me feel good to know that I DO need that extra time it's there.

I'm waiting for insurance too! I was hoping for a Feb surgery but looks like it will be March also. My insurance says it's policy is to respond within 5 days. I will cross my fingers that both of us get answers next week! Have you tried calling your insurance?

No I haven't called, Tuesday will be two weeks, my dr said average wait is two-four weeks! I hope we both hear next week! My insurance in the past has been pretty fast on other pre autho. So let's hope they are with this! Good luck
