I have always had a chubbier pubic area and I have fluctuated in weight over the course of 5-6 years but that area just become very fat centralized and it was super uncomfortable in underwear, bathing suits even wearing tight skirts and dresses because it just looked bulgy especially in workout clothes. RealSelf helped me find out what my procedure was called because it was so hard to describe a fat pubic area so it was an important resource that helped me find an amazing surgeon. I saw many before and after pictures but Dr. Dana Goldbergs were by far the most beautiful and realistic to what I was looking for. I requested a consultation in January and set my appointment for August! I came all the way from California and it was worth every penny. I also saw local San Diego plastic surgeons but Dr. Goldberg made me feel so comfortable and that it was no doubt in my mind I wanted her to do my monsplasty. Her staff was so incredibly sweet and the nurses were phenomenal and caring. It is an all female staff which wasn't necessarily a preference but it just made the process for the procedure much more comfortable considering it was in a private region. I am so excited for the healing process and the final results. Thank you Dr. Goldberg! You are absolutely amazing and talented surgeon.

Thanks for sharing! I'm going to need this procedure too. I'm just curious why they don't include it in the tummy tucks? Cause I need both!!

I am not sure. I probably could of benefited from a tummy tuck as well but that wasn't my focus. I could probably lose that weight healthy eating and exercise. My mons however I could not.

Like you I have always had a puffy moms pubic area but years ago when I asked my surgeon to reduce the size of it while I was going for a tummy tuck he gave me a BS story that it couldn’t be done now 27 years later I discover it can be reduced . Thank you for your honest review I will be getting it done for sure just need to get money together first but it’s great to hear you are happy with the result

i am having a monsplasty 1/17/19 and am so excited bc I have to wear long shirts to cover it. I had a TT in 2008 so doing a revision as well

I had a horrible experience in TSA a year and half ago. I have a tummy and am pretty much skinny in my lower body. I was wearing skinny jeans and a long shirt and i of course am the girl that gets checked. the low point in my life was when the tsa lady had me pull my shirt up and then she proceeded to tell her colleagues i wasn't flat there and she needed a supervisor. I was humiliated!! she tells me "I need to make sure your not smuggling anything" i was like really?? so i had to go to the room they have and prove that it was just fat! so my upcoming surgery is what I have been waiting for and hoping my outcome is worth it.

I am so sorry that happened! We are all shaped differently and unfortunately for us we got got bigger mons. I honestly encourage you find a good surgeon and do lots of research on the operation such as cost and recovery. I felt it was such a good investment and I am very happy with the results.
