CAUTION when following the Mona Lisa Touch Protocol

I had to post this review as "researching" since the RealSelf site will not allow a review posted without the doctor's name and the name of my doctor is not on their dropdown list. I am three months past my last treatment.

December 5th was the last of the three recommended procedures and I'm very upset. I guess I should start at the beginning. I had my first treatment very late last summer. I was apprehensive but because of all the pain, itching and other issues that go along with this condition I was more than ready to take the plunge. I was very pleased with the first treatment. It wasn't anymore uncomfortable than a normal pelvic exam and I actually began to see results with just the one treatment. With just one treatment the pain I had had for so long upon urination was gone. Just that alone was worth the price. The second treatment where they also do the outside was a bit more uncomfortable than the first but not unbearable and I had AMAZING results from it. No more pain, plump, youthful tissue and so much moisture I couldn't believe it. I really didn't think there was a need for the third treatment but I had been told that was the protocol so I went for it anyway. All I could think of was if two treatments had given me these amazing results, I couldn't wait to see what the third treatment would do. Well, I should have stopped at two. The third treatment was quite painful, during and after, though I had been told by the doctor that the last treatment would be the worst. It was very uncomfortable and while any discomfort from the last two treatments was gone by the next day, this continued for about two weeks. There were two or three spots in particular that felt as though I had been burned. It was painful to wash those spots in the shower. Well, he had told me this one would be the worst so that must be what he meant. I put the ointment on that I had been given and waited. Those spots finally got better and I waited some more for the moisture to return. Well it hasn't. Once again the area feels shriveled up, dry and itchy. It has only been three months since the last treatment and it has never felt the same as it did after the second treatment . I should have stopped at two; to heck with their protocol. Now I'm not sure what to do. Will it eventually come back? Would another treatment help? I'm very frustrated and feel as though my money was just stolen. So ladies, while I was initially a HUGE fan, I would caution you to listen to your body. I'm not saying don't do this. But I am saying you might not need three treatments.
