Worst Experience

I had a mummy makeover/body contouring procedure and lipo on my arms and unfortunately I am extremely disappointed with both my results and the aftercare I have received.

The hotel itself was nice and comfortable, but the overall surgical experience felt very rushed. The check-ins were extremely quick and I did not feel there was sufficient individual attention, explanation or proper postoperative care. Looking back, the process felt more like a conveyor belt of patients being moved through than the personalised care I expected for major cosmetic surgery.

I have been left with significant unevenness and contour irregularities across my abdomen, including noticeable asymmetry, a lump/fullness on one side and areas that appear indented or tethered. I also have a very hard, thick, rope-like area underneath my lower mummy-makeover scar around the pubic area. My arms show no significant change. I did wear the faja for a considerable amount of time and did over 50 lymphatic drainage massages at £80 each.

More concerningly, I have a hard lump in my breast which has been identified as fat necrosis. I recently spoke directly with the surgeon about all of these concerns. He suggested removing the necrotic area, allowing the breast to heal for several months and then having breast implants. I explained that I do not want implants. Fat transfer was also discussed, but I was warned that this could result in fat necrosis again. This has left me extremely unhappy with the choices I have been presented with following my original surgery.

I was also told that I would have to pay for revision surgery to address my body-contouring concerns. A back lift was suggested, which would involve further significant scarring and is not something I want.

Aftercare is another major concern. I am based in London, but I have now been told that the surgeon cannot see me in London and that I would need to travel to Manchester. Considering that I am reporting postoperative problems, including a hard breast lump, abdominal irregularities and hard scar tissue, I expected accessible follow-up and a proper physical assessment before being asked to consider and pay for further surgery.

I have also developed persistent high blood pressure since having the surgery and this is now being medically investigated. I cannot state that the surgery caused my hypertension, but the timing is concerning to me and it is another significant health issue that I am now having to manage following the procedure.

I fully understand that cosmetic surgery cannot guarantee perfection and that recognised complications, including fat necrosis, can occur. My complaint is not about expecting a flawless result. It is about the combination of the physical problems I have been left with, the rushed nature of the experience, the lack of satisfactory and accessible aftercare, and now being told that I would need to fund further surgery to try to correct the outcome.

I would strongly advise anyone considering surgery to obtain the clinic's revision policy in writing beforehand, establish exactly what happens financially if significant contour problems or complications require correction, and confirm where and by whom postoperative complications will actually be examined once you return home. I am truly unhappy and cry constantly about having wasted my money I saved up for years and now I can't even look in r mirror at myself without having a breakdown. DONT DO IT
