So I had found out after my gallbladder surgery that I have hashimoto’s which explains sooo much! I was at 150 at the time of my first surgery and he took off around 9-10lbs of skin and fat. Not long after my surgery I gained what felt like all the weight I lost back. I was still at 150 and climbing. Within a month I was back to 160 and couldn’t lose a pound. So because my thyroid is producing just enough hormones to function there was nothing I could do but try to prevent thyroiditis at this point. Or wait till I have it and be on medication. Recently I started at Be Balanced. They are a holistic hormonal weight loss facility. I can’t tell you enough how grateful I am I started it. I’m using their supplements in this first phase and getting my hormones under control in the first 20 days I’ve managed to lose 10lbs and am back at 150 and striving to lose more! My shape is really coming along nicely!

After going through thousands of posts, i have honestly found yours the absolute most helpful!! We had very similar body types and skin tone pre surgery, and in your post op pics, your swelling very much mirrors mine! I am currently 27 days post op for reduction, lift, Implant Exchange and the full abdominoplasty. It was VERY helpful to see your pics! Thank you so much for sharing! For the revision, did your lower wound open up, is that what those pics are? Is there any reason why that happened?
I'm glad you got your thyroid under control! I also take thyroid medication for hypothyroid. I love your post revision pics, you look absolutely AMAZING!!!
Of course! I wanted to make sure I was completely honest about the good bad and ugly! There’s not a particular reason that I opened up again. I just have delayed healing. I asked my endocrinologist if it had to do with my thyroid and they said no. My first breast surgery opened up as well. It’s just the way my body heals. I don’t take medication for my thyroid I am currently doing a holistic hormone balancing weight loss program. I am due for blood work so I’m curious to see how my thyroid has been affected. Good luck on your recovery! I hope to see pictures of your progress!!
Just wanted to say you look great! I’m trying to get my mommy makeover in June, somewhere in Florida, it’s so much cheaper there.
Who was your surgeon?
So happy it is working out! You look Beautiful!

Revision done!

So I had my scar revision, with lipo to my sides to fix the pouch and some lipo to the abdomen done on Wednesday September 1st. Everything went well! Traditionally Dr.Ness wouldn’t put a drain when doing a revision or the light amount of lipo he did but given my history he thought better safe then sorry. Which I am grateful for him taking the extra step. I really can’t say enough good things about his Practice. You can just really tell they care about their patients. Anyway, I had my drain in for 6 days and got it out today on the 7th. I may have been a bit paranoid about some leaking beneath the tapes because of my previous experience in it being a seroma. So I emailed pictures and got it all looked at today. And it’s just the normal amount of leaking lol. But better safe then sorry! I’m in a garment for the lipo so keep my shape especially as I swell. My next appointment is in a month unless I need to see him sooner. But fingers crossed that’s not the case!

Revision on hold

So I am almost 10 months post op from my surgery. I was supposed to have a revision on my scar from the spot that opened up on my low tummy incision, with additional liposuction to my flanks to even out the pouchy dog ear. Plus liposuction to my abdomen. I originally wanted the liposuction to my abdomen during my initial surgery but Dr.Ness does not do it because of the lack of blood supply. Which I’m my case I am grateful he didn’t or I could’ve been healing a lot longer. Anyway, my surgery has been postponed because I recently found out I had a gall stone.. like one big one and need my gallbladder removed. So instead of having my revision In august I’m having my gallbladder removed July 15. And lucky me because of this there are no openings until November for me to have my surgery. I am on a waiting list so Fingers crossed Because I’m going to Vegas for my 30th in December and would like to be good to go!!
