Tummy tuck, lipo & breast uplift, happy with overall results but scar isn’t good

ORIGINAL POST

Tummy Tuck Scar and Breast Uplift

WORTH IT
I had a mummy makeover with a tummy tuck, lipo and breast uplift. I am happy with the overall results of the tummy tuck but the scar I am left with isn’t good. The left side has a lot of hard scar tissue and it’s stretched and red. Has anyone else experienced this, what did you do?
I have been meeting with other surgeons about breast implants, they all mention that they can repair the scar as it’s not been done properly. Also that the surgeon didn’t take away enough skin during the uplift so I now need another uplift for implants.

Interested if anyone has had this experience?

The scars takes a long time to fade. I had tummy tuck 3 years ago and my belly is still numb and the scars are half way faded so don’t worry about the scars, get a good scar gel. Always get a second opinion before going for another surgery, it’s not an easy way.
You're correct about the scarring. As for the hypertrophic scarring, try clobetasol cream. It might help to soften and smooth out the scar so it's not so noticeable. It would be nice to know who did the original surgery so others could consider their options.
It will fade. There are also laser and other types of treatments you can do to help it heal. I had a breast lift +20 years ago and the scar took a couple years to fade. I recently went to a consult for another lift and the Dr didn't even realize I had a previous lift until I told him. The scars are barely noticable now.
