TT, Implant exchange, hernia repair after 3 kids

I got my last drain removed yesterday and I took a shower this morning! It was glorious! Thankful for the shower chair, I just sat there and let the water run. I was amazed at all the adhesive I still had all over random places. Glad to get that off. This was really the first time to see myself. I weighed myself and have lost 11 pounds. Not because of the surgery (skin and fat removal less than 2lbs), just have been eating clean and very small portions. Not much of an appetite. No joke, week 1 is hell. Week 2 has been so much better. I’ve read that week 3-4 gets you back to almost normal feeling. I’m looking forward to it.

I know it’s early and I’m being super critical, but thought the scar would be about an inch lower. I know my doctor had to make the choice of little higher scar or small vertical scar. I’m still pretty swollen and hunched over. I’m hoping when I get “straightened out” and the skin relaxes, my scar will land a little lower. But honestly, I’m happy and proud I don’t have all the loose skin and stomach bulge from the diastatis.

That was intense! Everything came out fine, it was a lot to put my body through. Haven’t felt like even looking at anything online. I’m down from 4 drains to 1 and supposed to get that out tomorrow. Just now really starting to feel human again. Cant wait to take a shower tho! Will try to take some “after” pictures tomorrow.
