TT and Breast Fat Transfer, 41- Fit Mom of 2!

WORTH IT
I wanted to share my experience, because reading the reviews on here helped me so much. I'm currently 6 weeks post op. I got a tummy tuck with muscle plication and Lipo. The lipo fat was transferred to my breasts. I knew that I wouldn't get a severe size change, and that was totally fine with me, I just wanted a little more fat on the top part of my breast. Dr. K was great, from our "virtual" consultation (thanks Covid!) to the surgery day, and follow up appointments. I highly recommend her, she did a great job! The first 3 days after surgery were the hardest, as far as pain was concerned. By the end of the week I was off of the prescription pain meds, and taking Extra Strength tylenol. I haven't taken any pain medication since about 9 days post op. Before the surgery I made sure to stay active, working out and running most days, and I stayed within 5 pounds of my goal weight. After the surgery, I was pretty strict with my diet and stayed away from salt for the first 2 weeks post op. I ate lots of leafy greens and protein to try to give my body the nourishment it needed to heal. I will say, my swelling was pretty bad for the first 2 weeks, but by week 3 it started to go down, considerably. I started doing daily walks at about 10 days post op, and every day it got easier, and I was able to walk faster. About 2 weeks post op, I was feeling pretty normal, and able to do most household chores without a problem (cooking, cleaning, laundry etc.) At 4 weeks post op, I was about to pick up my 30 lb 3 year old for short periods of time, and now at 6 weeks, carrying her is not a problem. I also started doing light weights (8lbs) at about 5 weeks post op, and now at 6 weeks, I am slowly working my way up to running again. Another thing I wanted to mention, since I couldn't find much info on it, is that I'm a professional singer, and the surgery hasn't affected my singing now that I'm 6 weeks out. I sang a little every day to build my stamina and range back up. It was hard at first, as I was short of breath for most of the first week. By the end of the second week I was at about 70% power, and now I'd say I'm at about 95%. Longer phrases are still a little bit tricky to get through, but all in all, there has been no change in my singing voice. I read a lot of people say that mindset is everything, and I've always been a pretty positive person, which I think helped me have an easy recovery. I'm still a bit swollen right about the incision, but my clothes are fitting me again, and my scar looks pretty good already.
