Traumatic Consult. Steer Clear.

Dr. Baum is creepy and incredibly unprofessional. He also told me I'd "never have a flat stomach... Well Dr. Baum. You were wrong. Eat your heart out. I wasted my day and hundreds on a consult with you. These are results 2 months out after surgery at Quatela with Dr. Peter Krasniak. People magazine wants to feature my case.

"You will never have a flat tummy." - Dr Gregory Baum

You told me with disdain in 5 mins I'd "never have the results I'm looking for". NOTE-- I hadn't even told you the results I was looking for. I had pretty low expectations, I just wanted help. You sent me away feeling terrible, but that's not even the worst part.

Within a few minutes of arriving, with his wife looking on (his nurse) he had me undress and asked me what my cup size is. I didn't know my current size, expecting he might get out a tape to measure. Without asking, he walked up and grabbed both of my breasts!!! To measure them. And he was completely wrong. 34D. Um no, try 36H. That mattered a lot for insurance btw.

His unprofessionalism extends to his staff and they almost got my insurance to deny my life-changing surgery by botching paperwork. I told his office staff to not submit to insurance for preauthorization because his "hand" measuring was so wrong.

They agreed and I spoke with 2 different people, even reminded in an email. I was worried. THEY DID IT ANYWAY. So they set me up for my insurance denial but my doctors at Quatela fixed everything Baum botched.

Dr. Krasniak made my belly look 25 again. My breasts perky and proportional. I had no idea this was possible. Changed my life. It was affordable and Dr. Krasniak had insurance cover nearly everything — even sending them a personal letter when they adjusted my breast reduction volume requesting full coverage on my behalf.

If you want to be cranked through like cattle and treated like meat, go with Dr. Baum. If you have any standards for care, steer clear.

Moms & Diastasis Recti Repair

Thriving262213
Diastasis Recti - Wanted to add, the reason my tummy was flat and fit looking was diastasis recti repair. If you have been pregnant, you most likely have a diastasis recti ab separation.

Even having my tummy evaluated by 2 plastic surgeons and a hernia surgeon, they said it may be small. They missed how big it was. 4cm+ So you may have a hidden DR separation too if your belly looks like my before pic.

Dr Baum cannot perform a DR repair. He said he would need a general surgeon to join him for an additional fee. It would also all need to be arranged ahead of time. So if he gets in and finds you need that done, like most of us moms, he can't do that part of the surgery.

Other surgeons can pretty easily stitch up your core. You can get a flat tummy and your core strength back instantly too. I couldn't lift my daughter without horrible back pain before. Only do a few situps. Now I'm doing weighted russian twists for 30 sec intervals, no problem
I feel like it was the most life-changing part of my surgery. Visually and physically.
