Healing in progress
Post day 12....Feeling better everyday. I have starter doing my lympatic massages. If definitely made me feel so much better afterwards. My tape on my incisions remains but will be removed next week when my drain is removed. The second drain is still around not because of drainage but my abdomen on one.side was puffy. My doctor is very precautious..and wanted 5o wait 1 more week. No pain at this point just breast tenderness and stiffness of my back..because I been sleeping main on my back. I have been taking my vitamins and watching my incisions like a hawk for any possible infections. I am so happy I have reach this point of healing because I can do more for myself now and feel better
Post Day 11
So today I went to my second follow up. My umbilical dressing was removed. Which is healing and looking great. My doctor removed one drain and left one in. I have been drawing 10-20cc day on both. He was a little concerned with the bulging of one side of my stomach. He suspects possibly more fluid. He says he doesn't like seromas and want to be very precautionous. Well if I have to have it another week then another well. I am feeling a lil more energetic, my back is where I get most of my pain but its doable. I follow up again in a week and my last drain will be removed. I still cant believe I have done this surgery that I been wanting for years.
post op day 4
Slowly but surely my recovering is come around. I am so happy to have this done. But more importantly patiently waiting for my results to fall in place. I have never had surgery before didn't know what to expect as far as the recovery process. I thought I was prepared enough knowing what to expect but it has truly been a road to recovery. Still don't feel quite myself I know I'm not one week out yet. I am still not walking upright but everyday it feels like I'm getting a little bit more upright then the day before. Pain is so much not initial at this point it's more of the tightness of the Faja. I changed out of Faja yesterday and it was a mission I was truly winded from the whole process. I went to the doctor today he looked at my incision says everything looks great but will keep my drains in for another week until they are draining less than 25 CC's a day. Right now I've been draining about 40 to 60 CC's daily. I'm in no rush I'm going to let him be the captain of this ship and just follow his commands. Also another issue I'm struggling with is lack of appetite and no bowel movement as of yet. I lighten up on taking the Percocets instead I take Motrin and I've been taking a laxative daily. I think by tomorrow if I don't go I'm just going to go get me a nice Starbucks coffee hopefully that does the trick. I still can't believe I made it to do this surgery that for years I've been talkin intubating about. But in due time when my results comes all in place and we'll know it was well worth it. I will post it again in a few days of my process and transition into a new body
