Video of my surgery

WORTH IT$16,700
Dr. Franco posted video from my surgery on his IG: https://www.instagram.com/tv/B6y8oIFFUXA/?igshid=3bk83m09t1ny
Because seeing real photos and videos from women who went through it before me is a big part of what convinced me to do it, I agreed to let him film and share my surgery, but I asked that he wait a little while before sharing so that anyone who knew I was having it done wouldn’t be able to see it that same day and know it was me.

Mommy makeover-6 weeks post-op

A brief update:
How do I feel at 6 weeks out? Really good! Almost totally healed and ready to get back into the gym.
Am I happy with the results? — I’m more than happy. The results really are better than I ever hoped for!
Would I do it all over again knowing what I know now? — For this dramatic of a result, absolutely! ...Though I would probably never choose to have lipo done by itself. For me, recovering from the lipo has been the worst part.
Best advice I can give? — 1) Only get a mommy makeover if you have a very supportive partner/friend/relative who is willing to help for at least two weeks. 2) Know that there will be pain/discomfort, but the time it lasts will pass quickly, and it will be worth it. 3) At my 4-week follow up, Dr. Franco said that I’m healing well ahead of average, and I think that focusing on a healthy diet (plenty of protein and vegetables), walking everyday and doing plenty of light activity, and taking a collagen supplement and CBD oil have really helped the healing process.

Thank You for sharing photos you are healing beautifully I have been thinking about a tummy tuck with Dr Franco, just scare of incision not healing correctly bloating blood clots not draining correctly and tissue scarring, so much that holds me back and my small children, your beautiful results inspire me to go for it I too have lots of loose skin due to 3 babies, Please continue to post updates and any other advice
Thank you! I truly believe that Dr. Franco is amazing at what he does, and that as long as you follow his instructions and take care of your incisions that the results are so worth it! I'll try to remember to post a bit more after my 8 week follow up, but if you have any questions I can answer, I'll be happy to share anything I can.
You look amazing! Congrats!
Thank you!
You look great. Are you still wearing a faja or binder? Also, did you have to wear the binder day and night and for how long?
Thank you. I wore an elastic binder pretty much 24/7 for the first four weeks, and then I started sleeping without it. At five weeks Dr. Franco told me I didn't need to wear it anymore, but I should wear some sort of spanx/light compression garment. Now at 7 weeks I wear control top undies to work, and then when I'm at home I just wear some tight, high waisted workout leggings most of the time, though I don't wear anything tight to bed, and I feel like I could go without the spanx if I wanted to.

A few more details

In case it helps to put things into perspective, I’m 5’0” and weighed 145lbs going into surgery. I’ve always been short and curvy, and once upon a time, I had full, perky boobs that I loved. Sadly, after getting pregnant, gaining 70lbs, breastfeeding for a year, and then losing the 70lbs, my boobs were left saggy and totally deflated, the skin on my stomach was loose, and no matter how hard I flexed my abs or tried to suck it in, my lower belly always stuck out due to diastasis recti.
The implants I chose were 325cc medium profile gummy bear implants, and the doctor predicts that once I’m all healed I will likely be a 34D.
If I can answer any other questions, please feel free to ask!

How are you feeling about your results today? Still happy after recovery? Curious how long the healing process is or has been?
Yes, I am extremely happy! I'm now six weeks out from surgery and feeling really good. The recovery process is...well...a process. The first two weeks were pretty rough. Weeks 2-4 were not so much painful as uncomfortable and achy from the lipo. I would say that by week 4 I felt 80% better, and now at week 6 the only discomfort I have is that my abs are so tight that it still hurts if I sneeze, and if I'm really active all day, my abdomen will be pretty swollen in the evenings. But my stomach looks nice and flat when I wake up in the mornings, and my implants have dropped and now look very natural--exactly what I asked for.
I am in consultation with Dr. Franco considering the same surgery. I am concerned about the pain. Can you elaborate on how this was for you?
I think that pain varies so much depending on the person, and that it's really more mental than physical. I wouldn't say that I have a super high pain tolerance, but I think that I tolerated the pain as well as anyone can. I did take the pain meds Dr. Franco prescribed pretty much around the clock as prescribed for the first seven days, and then I started spacing them out so that a 7-day prescription lasted me 10 days, then I switched to Tylenol/ibuprofen for a few more days, and then I was off all meds at two weeks. My boobs really never hurt hardly at all, and the incision on my belly was not painful either. Pretty much all of the pain/discomfort that I felt was from the lipo on my sides and hips, and the tightness and inability to use my abs made getting up and down difficult. The worst discomfort that I had was when trying to sleep the first two weeks. My hips/sides/back ached a lot, and I would move back and forth from being propped up in bed to the recliner. At four weeks it started to get much better, and by six weeks I could sleep very comfortably. It does suck while going through it those first few weeks, but in the grand scheme of things, those few weeks go by fast, and to me it is totally worth trading a few weeks of discomfort for years of feeling better/more confident in my body.
Thank you for the insight!
Thank you for the detailed info in relation to the pain.
