Just added a before pic to compare to my post-op pics. My breasts were long and heavy and gave me a lot of upper back and neck pain. You can also see that because my diastasis recti were so severely separated (five fingers worth) it appeared I was very square. After the abdominal plication, my waist cinched in so much I have curves for days now. I also feel like my abs being sewn back together and strengthened helped me to walk straighter I'm not as overpronated. It might be all in my head but I truly feel like it helped.

Had surgery 3 weeks ago!!

I had a mommy makeover, which included, 360 lips, tummy tuck and a breast lift (no implant) with Dr. Zuriarrain at the Zuri Plastic Surgery Center. Let start with the good. My results look amazing. Dr. Z knows exactly what he's doing and both my best friend and mom are getting their surgeries done with him now. My surgery took 6 hours and recovery has its ups and downs. I'm still sore in a lot of places. All the lips areas and incisions still ache. It's definitely bearable and I suggest making sure you get lymphatic massages to keep your swelling down. In the beginning the lymphatic massages were the only things that gave me energy. My incisions ache anytime I remotely think something painful is about to happen and when I get in and out of bed and when I stand. That probably has a lot to do with how tight my abdominal muscles and skin are. It causes tugging at the incisions as I try to stand straight up. That took about 2 full weeks and I still have to slowly straighten up as I stand. But they look amazing they are super thin except in areas that have a lot of stretch marks. You can tell that suturing through the scar tissue was probably difficult.

Now to the negative. Dr. Z's pre-op staff was amazing. Every question I had they answered right away. Even when I called and DIDN'T leave a voicemail they would still call me back and make sure that they addressed whatever issue I was having. They even remained nice and patient with me when my PCP was failing to send them the paper work they needed even to the day before the surgery. Amazing and outstandingly professional women.

Now, the post of people were the exact opposite. I've called at 3 times since my surgery and still haven't received any calls back. I had to refer to YouTube to get the answers I needed. I haven't received even one post-op call to check and see how I'm doing, NOTHING. I gave some sort of pass for the holidays because they would send out emails informing patients that the office was closed.

Even my post-op appointments weren't handled by them. I would literally have to call and ask when I should come in. I though that was strange instead of them automatically scheduling them, considering one was the day after the surgery and the other was in the same week. The receptionist was also very off putting. If I wasn't from a different state I would've wondered had I wronged her in the past. She never greeted me as I walked in the office, she would just look at me, and was extremely short mannered. Very strange post-op dynamic.

The second bad thing is I feel there are a lot of things not talked about that are essential to recovery. First, teaching patients how to get in and out of bed after surgery. I'm sure I cause unnecessary pain and trauma to myself the first 3 days before I finally watched YouTube videos for reference. There was no talk about lipofoams being used underneath my compression garments which apparently is essential to smooth results and minimizing fibrosis and pain. I found that information once again through Youtube after a few days of excruciating pain from the ab binder. I wasn't able to have my drains removed in the office because I'm an out-of-state patient. I called to get assistance on removing them. Of course, there was no answer and I had to do it myself referring to YouTube videos. Btw, I was told to call and I would be walked through the steps.

Despite how bad my post-op experience (or lack there of) has been, Dr. Zuriarrain is great at what he does . And if you're more concerned with great results than the bedside manner of his staff, he's your guy.

You look amazing… that is so weird with the post op staff though smh… definitely not good for business.
Thank you
I hear this more often. Poor aftercare. It’s all in the same package. Every ps should see their patient thru until they are fully recovered. I’m sorry you have to be referred to UTube videos for answers.
It should not be that way! Hopefully you
get some answers here. Take care!
You look amazing, sounds like you feel like it too!

Mommy makeover surgery scheduled

I'm scheduled for December 13, with Dr. Zuri in Miami. I'm so excited. So far they've been prompt in communication and getting me scheduled right away. Even better they scheduled me this years in one of only three opening and then he's booked until nearly the middle of next year.
I'm having a mommy makeover; tummy tuck, breast without implants, lipo of the the flacks, back, arms, and inner thighs.
I'm 33 yrs old with two kids. I'm currently 5"3', 158lbs, and a 36DDD.

You look great. Do you have any before pictures. I'm 5'3 as well 165 lbs and I don't really see a lot of people with my body type
yes, I keep trying to post them but the site won't let me. I'll try again. I had a hard time finding anyone with my body type as well.
