UPDATE: Even Worse Follow-Up Care & Refusal to Correct Issues
?I am writing this follow-up to my initial review to document the absolute nightmare it has been trying to get this practice to address my surgical complications. After dealing with major communication barriers, I finally managed to schedule an appointment at their Hammond office for the end of May.
?I had to coordinate this long-distance trip all the way from San Antonio, Texas, while managing personal issues in Louisiana. Despite all my efforts to get these issues resolved ahead of time, they casually informed me over the phone right before my trip that Dr. Weiler wouldn't even be there because he was going on vacation.
?Dismissive Staff & Unprofessional Behavior
?I drove all the way from Texas anyway, hoping for real clinical help. Instead, the staff at the Hammond location was incredibly unhelpful and completely dismissed my concerns. They quickly put me down, flat out stating that my concerns "were not concerns" and claiming that my scar looked "perfectly fine."
?Worse yet, the professional environment is highly questionable. While I was speaking to the staff, they openly told me that they were in the back injecting Botox into their own faces or doing some type of cosmetic procedure on themselves. It is incredibly alarming and unprofessional for a medical staff to brag about playing around with injections like that during office hours. When I asked the skin nurse for a prescription or even just a sample of something I could apply to my stomach after driving all that way, they were completely unhelpful and provided nothing.
?Gaslighting Over Medical Issues
?They took photos of the dark spot on my stomach, and I had to wait. Two weeks later, that's whenever they finally contacted me from their office. The nurse informed me that Dr. Weiler claimed the issue was just because I was "rubbing on it." I never once said I was rubbing it; I told them I was forced to apply intensive lotions just to handle the severe dryness.
?Taking Matters into My Own Hands
?Long story short, Dr. Weiler refuses to fix my body. I had to figure out how to treat his sloppy work myself:
?The Dry Spot: I had to cycle through several different ointments, eventually getting it under control using AmLactin Intensive Healing Lotion.
?The Dark Spot: Once the dryness settled, thank God my amazing boyfriend bought me Prequel Lucent-C Vitamin C Serum to finally start fading the dark hyperpigmentation they ignored.
?I do not recommend this company to anyone. Dr. Weiler's work is sloppy, his staff is unprofessional, and they will completely abandon you the moment you have a complication. Save your money, your time, and your body go somewhere else.
