Life Changing Transformation

I had a tummy tuck, lipo, and BBL by Dr. Kesarwani almost a year ago, and a breast augmentation around 2 months ago. I am really pleased with my results, so I am going to write a long dissertation about my experiences:

I got pregnant in 2015, and due to the way my body interacted with the fertility meds, I gained 80lbs within the first 2 weeks of being pregnant. That caused a lot of damage in my body, and really limited my mobility for years after. Eventually, my weight rose to 300lbs.

In 2020, following an atrial fibrillation, I started on a long journey to improve my health and mobility which also resulted in me losing around 125lbs in 2.5 years. This left me with a lot of loose skin and weird, invasive body shame. Even though I was much healthier physically, I really struggled with not feeling comfortable in my body. As a single mom with no support, spending a small fortune on how I looked seemed kind of frivolous and hard to justify, but the constant, negative self-talk was also doing a lot of real damage internally. Eventually the scales tipped enough that I saw Dr. Kesarwani for a consult in the summer of 2022. I saw a few other potential surgeons, but found him/his office to be the most responsive and considerate, and the before and after photos he showed me of his own work seemed to match up well with my goals.

I got my TT, BBL, and Lipo in December of 2022, right before Christmas. It is a brutal surgery and a hard recovery, there is no sugarcoating it. I followed all of Dr. K's instructions and was lucky I had no serious complications. I do recommend that anyone getting these surgeries has a backup compression garment at home, the one I was sent home in split open a few days into recovery due to my swelling, and I was in no state to mend it at the time. Dr. K remained in contact with me via email and phone calls during the Christmas holidays, to check in and ensure I had the medication I needed to stay comfortable.

Drains are an objectively gross concept, and as long as they are in, I wasn't allowed to drive, which was really challenging because of my personal responsibilities. After the drains came out, I had a little fluid build up around the incision, and needed that drained, but it was an easy and painless procedure. Although I have a vague recollection that I experienced pain following the initial TT/BBL/Lipo surgery, the meds I was prescribed post-recovery were strong enough that I don't remember any of it being that bad. This past summer, I had to get my gallbladder removed, and if that pain was a 10/10, the tummy tuck/BBL pain was a 5/10. I would say the limitation to my mobility: the drains, not driving, not sitting on my butt, only side sleeping, etc. were more disruptive to my life than the pain.

After about 6 weeks I felt pretty normal again, if a bit slower moving. During the tummy tuck, Dr. K stitched my abs back together (I had about 18cm of ab separation), and that alone led to a huge improvement in my mobility. After 7 years of not being able to sit up without rolling onto my hands and knees, this seemingly small improvement felt incredible. Another positive from the surgery is that I ended up with a pretty significant "lift" in my pubic area, and improved sexual sensation.

Dr. K did a beautiful job with my belly button, you can see it in the tattoo pic below. Also, I don't know what kind of lipo wizardry he did, but I now have defined abs for the first time in my life too (also visible in the pics). I did end up with a bit of a strange "pleat" type situation on my left hip because of how the scar formed. Dr. K fixed that up (at no additional cost) during my breast augmentation in October, and it has healed beautifully. The scars from the surgery were easily hidden under a bikini, and are barely noticeable otherwise. I have started on a tattoo coverup of the area (based on the Radiolab Podcast Episode, "The Humpback and the Killer" if there are any other nerds out there who might appreciate it), but the reality is that it is so faint, it doesn't really even need to be covered.

I should also mention, that I haven't fully recovered sensation around the middle of the surgical scar, I was warned that might happen (and it has made the tattooing a lot easier), but if you are someone that would be bothered by that, take note.

The BBL/lipo made a huge difference in the way my clothes fit, and really improved the proportions of my body. Before the surgery, my measurements were:
Hips: 40"
Waist: 37"
Bust: 41"

And now they are approximately:

Hips: 41"
Waist: 31"
Bust: 37"

I got my breast augmentation done in October, and again, consulted with a few other surgeons; not because I was unhappy with my first operation with Dr. K, but because I thought it was important that I consider all my options and do due diligence. I did not want to get a breast lift, I just wanted my breasts to be "refilled" to the size they were when I was nursing. All of the surgeons I spoke to suggested a lift and augmentation based on my ptosis, but I just did not want the recovery or infection risk, and my goals weren't to look like a 17 year old. My intentions with getting plastic surgery were not at all oriented towards competing with other/younger, women, rather I wanted to end up with the kind of body I felt fit my personality and my definition of sexy. I am at peace with being 43-years-old, I just wanted to be a 43-year-old Jessica Rabbit. Dr. K did not try to push me into a breast lift, he showed me other before and after pics from patients with similar degrees of ptosis that chose to augment without a lift, and honestly, they looked great.

I got 650ccs, moderate profile, over the muscle, with crease incisions. I had a (very lax) 38D cup to start, and now have a 38F/G. I am also 5'10" and 180lbs, with broad shoulders, so they look (and feel) really natural. The recovery was easier than I anticipated, and although Dr. K prescribed pain killers if I needed them, I didn't even end up taking an advil after the surgery. I was up and moving relatively well a few hours after I was released, and I was driving the following day. I did get a bit of a blood clot in my hand from the IV, but I followed Dr. K's advice re: warm compression, and it went away over time. He reassured me that these kinds of blood clots were relatively common after an IV, and not the scary kind of blood clot. I was really grateful that following both surgeries, Dr. K was super responsive to my emails, even over Christmas holidays and on weekends.

Dr. K prescribed antibiotics after both surgeries, and they seemed to work well for me, I had no trouble with infections in either case.

I am super happy with my results, and feel much better in and out of clothes. I am grateful I was able to invest in myself in this way, and can confirm that now, when I look in the mirror, I feel really great about what I see. I also have so much more mental space now that I am not fighting with the weird shame and body image issues that had been haunting me before.

I am so grateful to Dr. K for the care that he put into my body. I also think it is important to note that despite the decades of experience he has, and the obvious skill, the costs for his surgeries are reasonable and in comparison to the other surgeons I consulted with, his were at the lower end of the price ranges I received.
