6 weeks po! This is the sweet spot!

Hi girls! Ahhh.. finally reached 6 weeks and I must say I feel pretty close to normal! I do still have a little swelling here and there and tire earlier than pre surgery but I feel 100% better. The tightness is still there but it’s not like it was in prior weeks, it’s more of a “comfortable” tightness. My scar is looking better too, still a ways to go on that though. I’m doing exercises but keeping an work to a minimum. Eating clean and started stretching again. Now let’s talk boobs. My pesky right boob is started to heal! And I feel like the more they dropped and fluffed the bigger they got. I don’t mind it at all, they can fluff all they want! I’m putting vitamin e oil on everywhere even my incisions, I heard this works! So all of you ladies waiting for the magical week it’s definitely week 6 for me, it may be 7 or 8 for others. I’ve learned to not compare recovery’s because we all hea differently but one thing for sure is we will all keep looking better and better with time. I never thought I’d get to say that. Happy healing ladies, prayers for all of you. Keep updating your stories! I enjoy reading the journey you’re on!

Glad that spot is starting to heal. That seems to be a common spot for trouble. Now can I tell you, I LOVE your boobs? I have boob envy - totally should have gotten mine done. Lol.

Awww, thank you so much!! Yes, that spot is stubborn! They were a breeze getting done compared to the TT!
July 13, 2021
Oh I'm so thankful that spot on your boob is healing, thank God. It's so scary when you see that start to happen. You look absolutely fantastic!! Your TT scar is so clean and neat and your belly button is perfect. Your boobs are looking amazing as well, I too feel like my boobs are a little bigger than I thought but that is okay. I'm sure we'll enjoy all of this especially with more time. Your tummy is so flat too which is excellent. l am still having that swollen lower pouch which makes me crazy, I'm really trying to be patient. I know with more time I'll feel better and look better. Thank you for your update, gives me hope for week 6 post op. Congrats again and happy healing.

I really appreciate it! That little spot has been a pain but yes the silver cream is working wonders. I still have pain in my boobs if I lift something heavy( im not supposed to be doing) I just simply forget sometimes until it’s too late. My mons area had just started going down last week, seems each day is getting better so don’t worry too much! I just ordered embrace for my scars, I’ll keep updating before and after I use them Bc they are expensive so I’ll see if it’s worth it or not. You look amazing too and with each week that passes you will love your new body more and more!
July 14, 2021
Thank you:) I was just pricing embrace and totally trying to decide if I should order it as well. I'm glad you ordered it, you're ahead of me so hopefully it works wonders and I'll order it. I like that it says it supports the scar/incision areas to help reduce tension. I look forward to your updates. I worked another 11hour shift today and made dang sure I sat more, so I'm hoping tomorrow I'll be okay. I definitely tried not to over use or lift my arms to prevent that pain in my breast muscles. Praying our boobs start feeling better and we can get to the point where lifting and moving won't kick our butts. Have a great night.

How are you feeling? Did taking breaks help with the pain? I just couldn’t imagine standing on my feet that long right now
Let along when I was 2-3 weeks po! As crazy as it sounds it may even help you recover even faster since you’re moving around and busing up that stamina. I’ll keep you updated on embrace! I will start them Monday evening and will post pics throughout the duration of the time I use them!
July 17, 2021
Hello. I did work two 11 hour shifts this week and made sure I worked while sitting as much as possible. I have to get up constantly but at least I could sit for 10 minutes then stand awhile and sit again. I'm still hunched a bit because my stomach is so tight and swollen so my back just really hurts at work. But I made it and I work only 8 hours tomorrow. You're right I think working so much is helping me loosen up a bit, I feel a little less tight in my stomach today. Thank you I can't wait to see your updates on embrace and your progress. Happy healing.

You are looking so good!! I’m glad that spot is healing up, thank God. Your tummy looks so good and flat, being surgery twins you got me beat in the flatness. I have a small window first thing in the morning that I can enjoy the flat. My swelling is still a hot mess and I’m wondering if I’ll every get out if compression LOL. You look good girl, continued good healing and you are working that two piece.

Thank you!! It’s been up and down but I’m finally getting used to my new self image and trying to embrace it. I haven’t always been good to my body but I’m really trying to change mind, body, and spirit. My tummy is flat in the morning but I too expensive that swelling at night. Especially after a long day of activity. Today I actual keep feeling a sharp pain in my upper right abdomen after pulling my trunk down. Hopefully it goes away. I stopped wearing CG and only wear my binder toward the evening time but I don’t recommend that to anyone. I do think it’s better to wear them up to 8 weeks they just make me itch so bad and it’s hard for me to sleep. You look amazing!! Happy healing to you surgery buddy!
July 16, 2021
Thank you! Hopefully that pain goes away soon. It’s like you can’t make any wrong move or you will definitely feel it. Yes it’s time to embrace your new body, I’m
starting to do the same. Heck we paid a lot of money for it, we have to embrace it and be nice to it :)

What is the silver cream? My incision in the middle is an open wound and they have been having me pack it with gauze with wet to dry dressings but it is taking FOREVER to heal
User Avatar
July 16, 2021
Oh no! I’m sorry to hear you have delayed healing as well. My wound is now completely closed after about 1 week of the silver cream. It’s a cream your PS has to prescribe but it works magic! I hope you get healing better soon!

Can you feel your nipples?

So I’m a little over 30 dpo. Overall happy that I look better than I used too however, for the money I spent I am a little unsatisfied with a few things. I waited so long for this surgery and finally came up with the money only to still feel self conscious about some things. My TT scar goes way up on my hips so pretty much any bottoms whether panties or swim suit shows the scar unless I pull them way up like granny panties. But one of the big readings I went through all of this pain is to throw out those granny panties! And my poor right nipple that’s irregular shaped, not to mention my wound under that same boob that just won’t heal. I have “ pleating” in my sides ( I forgot to take pics) but hopefully that at least goes away. I’m trying to stay positive and not sound ungrateful because I know it could be so much worse but I’m only human. I’ve always had very low self esteem and no self confidence when it came to my body so just wanted this to really work out. On a brighter note, I do like how my boobs look in my tops though!! I am standing 100% straight up. I’m still getting very tired by around 6:00 pm or so and still a little tender in my lipo area. Oh! Forgot to mention one other thing, my pubic area that sticks out further than my belly, never thought I’d get to say that Lol! I’m hoping everyone that is healing is doing well or getting better! I also wish those that are about to have surgery the greatest experience!

I hate that we are so critical and hard on ourselves. I think you look absolutely amazing. Even if that small amount of scar shows there are many things I've thought of doing if part of mine shows. Temporary tattoo, henna, or a real tattoo but who knows you're so early in this healing in a year your scar may be so light and thin you won't even notice it. Your tummy looks perfect!! I pray that spot on your boob heals up quickly for you. Your boobs look great too, I think because the incisions are still so fresh you're thinking that one nipple is worse than it really is. Once those scars heal and lighten, I really think and pray you'll love your results! These procedures take so much time and patience, it is really rough on our emotions! Especially because we have all invested so much money, time, energy, and the healing process ugh!! Time will heal you perfectly and to me you look fabulous already!!! Lot's of hugs and healing prayers to you. Healing prayers for all our mama's taking this journey.

I really appreciate your kind words, they really lifted my spirits. That is suck a great idea about a scar cover up, I already have several tattoos so I could probably have my guy come up with a really pretty one to cover up my scar! And thank you for the prayers, my right breast has been hurting but I think it’s at least not getting any worse. I do think you’re right about the scars around the nipples getting lighter over time, that will be so great. Your results are looking absolutely beautiful and I can’t wait to watch them keep getting better over time. Thank you again for taking time to lift a mama up! Happy healing and prayers for you too!

I remember after my first cosmetic surgery (my boobs), I had a lot of things I was unhappy with.. some turned out to be very warranted and even had a revision (and another one I will plan here possibly in the next few years).. but one thing I also learned is that so much healing and changes happen in the first 6 months after surgery.. and when you think about it, even changes that may look great to others, we are critical over because we really need to get used to our new bodies m literally get used to being in our own skin again.. don't feel bad at all about feeling that way but also realize this is also part of the normal process and many of the issues you have, you will learn to love and accept as part of your new body.. but the issues you still aren't happy with can always be revised too.. oh and btw, the pleating on the hips are 100% normal part of healing so that part will smooth out with time. I hope you feel better soon. Love the new update pics too! You're looking AMAZING!!

Thank you, That makes me feel so
Much better. I’m sorry you’ve had complications with your surgeries but hope with it all gets better from here on out for you. I do think you look absolutely amazing.. your results are fantastic. I forget all about revision, just in case my scar doesn’t lighten up and I want it lower and my right nipple. I’ve also noticed my left nipple faces completely down and I have no feeling in it. So that may need corrected. But overall I’m grateful. And you’re right, we have to get used to our new skin we’re in and love it. Praying for the pain to stay away for you!

We are our own worst critic, I'm so sorry you are feeling this way, but can I just say you look amazing. We had our surgeries on the same day and the healing process has been a real roller coaster ride. But I do know that healing takes time and the body is going to change so much over the next 6 months, sometimes even with the swelling my incision looks like it's all in a weird place and swelling goes down some and it look better. We find things that only we notice and tend to pin point them out. If one things I've learned with this recovery is, trust the process and then if that fails there is always revisions. With time you will love all of your new body. When I'm pointing out things I have to check myself and remember what I was working with pre surgery and that no one body is perfect. These feelings are all normal, just have to patient, let the body heal and embrace it in the process. Again you look amazing, the pics are great!! BTW my Mons pubis is standing it's ground and reminding me the swelling is real, and it will be the last to go LOL. Continued good healing, you look great!

I agree! Yes it is a roller coaster that’s one thing that’s for sure. And thank you, you are looking amazing as well! Sometimes I find myself looking at others photos and I compare myself and I have to remind myself we all recover differently. Like you said, it’s important to be patient and let our bodies heal! Thank you for replying and still praying for happy healing for you!

Hi! I think it’s doing a tiny bit better, the silver cream is finally starting to work. But the area did continue to open up to about the size of a penny and my doctor says it could take weeks or even a few months to completely heal. Puts a damper on several trips I have coming up, lots of water time I’ll have to avoid. But grateful I’ll be on the beach looking way better than I used to! I’m excited for that. :-) Thank you for checking in! That’s really sweet. I hope you’re recovering well!

I'm so sorry you're having this hiccup in your recovery. I do unfortunately know this all too well sadly but I know with time, it will get better and you'll look back on all this and it will will just be a faint memory:) (my doc told me that yesterday at my latest post op anyway haha). My belly button probably won't be seeing any lakes/rivers/pools or sun for at least a year so I know how bad it sucks when you make plans based on where you expect to be in recovery... it is certainly a test of our patience right?!?
User Avatar
July 8, 2021
Thank you for that reassurance that this will all be a faint memory someday! And we all know how fast time flies. I’m definitely trying to stay positive and keep working out regardless of how I’m feeling emotionally. You are so right This whole thing is a huge test of our patience but we can do it!
July 9, 2021
Hello oh man that stubborn boob, I wish/hope/pray it heals faster. I'm so sorry, it's such a disappointment to have to change plans for vacation but you really are going to look absolutely fantastic on that beach! I am so thankful for you and all you have shared has been so helpful thank you. You rock that beach and enjoy your trips :)
July 9, 2021
Oh man I'm so sorry your belly button is still giving you trouble. I do hope it heals faster than expected. Your doctor is right we'll all look back on this next year at this time and be so happy we did it. It sucks going thru the extra bumps in the healing process that we all pray won't happen. You always have such great attitude and I thank you for sharing your journey with us. Extra Healing thoughts/prayers for you all. :)

Aww, thank you! It is discouraging but I know time heals all wounds! At least superficial ones. Lol. I’m going to make the best out of the trips and try and soak up the sun but will make sure my scars are well covered. I really appreciate your journey as well! I enjoy watching everyone’s beautiful transformations and grateful to get to read your stories.

I haven’t really updated bc no significant changes but the itching is crazy!! That’s why my stomach is so red in the picture. I just took my binder off and scratched away at my belly! My lipo areas are also extremely itchy and in between my boobs. Ugh, one thing after the next but still well worth it. They say beauty is painful and they weren’t lying!

Oh so sorry about the itching. I have dry skin and unless I slather with lotion everyday it itches. So I guess I'm in for treat. Wow you're day 21 that is fantastic.I remember you were just going in. How bad was it? Congrats on day 21 I hope the itching stops now.
June 19, 2021
You are looking good, and healing nicely. I feel you on the itching when the garments come off you want to itch away. I literally have to slather myself with oil twice a day to survive the itch but it works. My husband makes fun of how shiny I am when done.

You look fantastic! I am dreading the coming of the itch. I got blisters from the tape and already have some itching from those. Did you try taking Benadryl? It seems to work for some people. I hope you get some relief!
June 22, 2021
Oh man I got a blood blister under the tape too. The had to peel the tape off, clean and put bacitracin and bandage it for me. I'm such a baby cry that thing hurt especially when she cut and removed to loose piece of skin. Praying none of us get any more of those. I want to buy a spray bottle to put oil in so my husband can spray me down :) Happy healing, this is a lot of work, but as we all know nothing ever comes easy. Love you my friends thank you so much I could never have done this without you all.

June 23, 2021
Oh maybe I'll try coconut oil too. Supposed to help with so much. Thanks.
